Sea Change in the Middle East

11/18/2006

Happy Thanksgiving.

The nomination of Dr. Robert Gates as U.S. Secretary of Defense signals a major sea change in the country’s Middle East policy, especially as regards Iran. There was much shuttling this week as the U.S. prepares to soften its approach to Iran. Ken Timmerman (www.kentimmerman.com) joins us and John’s boralogue rotates around an analysis of this theme.

John records the religious history of the first Thanksgiving and contrasts it to politically correct history today.

Finally, we’ll feature part two of Harold Hoffman from the U.K. (www.britanniaradio.co.uk) looking at the history of the European Union, how it was sold to the British, and what parallels can be drawn relating to the Security and Prosperity Partnership her in the U.S.
