Crisis in China

Busy show today but we’re not doing anything on the elections, so you can breathe a big sigh of relief.

China is the first main topic. In all the justifiable furor over civil rights in China, the Olympic games and China’s role in buying U.S. debt to enabling the U.S.’s frivolous economic policies, what do westerners really know about the country? There is real disparity between the public image and the real China. French journalist Guy Sorman has authored a new book on the subject entitled, The Empire of Lies, and he’s the first guest on today’s show.

When dealing with individuals, abortion slides underground in the church, even though statistics show the abortion rate to be about the same among conservatives as among other groups. As such, people are silent about post-abortion effects on their lives even when they come to regret what they have done. Michaelene Fredenburg has written, Changed: Making Sense of Your Own or a Loved One’s Abortion Experience. (

Finally, since intelligent design is an issue, British film producer Mark Haville ( has released two excellent Life Story documentaries on the subject and he’s our final guest today.

John’s boralogue does a summary update on the emerging energy crisis and how congress doesn’t have a clue of how to fix it.
