Merging Man and Machine in Transhumanism

11/27/2010

First, we’ll examine the persecution of Christians in Egypt by once again asking the question, “Will the real Islam please stand up?” Youssef Ibrahim, editor for the Hudson Institute and the Wall Street Journal, examines the debate Muslims will not hold within their own faith as western politically correct narratives about Islam break down in the light of reality.

Then we’ll introduce the emerging global philosophy of transhumanism as Dr. Martin Eerdman, Ph.D., from Switzerland returns to the program. This is a movement that you could call eccentric if it didn’t have so many heavy hitters behind it.

John’s extended boralogue examines the philosophical roots surrounding why so many of our liberal friends don’t seem to want to engage in political discussion any more. The logical fallacy of the week is the “straw man” fallacy.
