In this week’s boralogue, John looks at the truth behind taxes and how they really work. When you tax something, you get less of it. President Trump gave a speech in Poland last month praising the West and all of its accomplishments. There were some, despite enjoying the benefits of Western culture, who disagreed with him. Bruce Thornton (, Humanities Professor at California State Fresno examines the disdain in academia and among the elites for Western culture, and digs into history to show how society based on freedom is both rare and best.

A bubble is looming in the financial markets. Can we spot the patterns that lead up to it or will it catch us by surprise yet again? George Gilder (, Senior Fellow with the Discovery Institute, discusses monetary policy, how currency and markets affect everything else in society, and what to watch for in the future.
