Speak Now or Say Goodbye to Peace

Following a brief boralogue covering progressive trial balloons being launched in various areas, testing to see if ultra-left wing ideologies can be implemented, John welcomes Kevin Snider (www.pacificjustice.org), Chief Counsel at Pacific Justice Institute. Kevin examines a case in California where a Christian school was raided by police and the case is now headed to court.

The number of instances of anti-semitic language and attacks has risen sharply in the past year. Meira Svirsky (www.clarionproject.org), writer at the Clarion Project, joins us from her home in Israel to discuss how anti-semitism is becoming more mainstream in Europe, Israel, and the U.S. and what can be done to fight against it.

It’s not just Jews who being persecuted; Christians in various walks of life are experiencing it as well. Corey Miller (www.ratiochristi.org), President and CEO of Ratio Christi, describes how he was essentially blackballed from finishing his PhD program due to his conservative Christian beliefs. He insists that we need to speak up against this bias before it’s too late.

John finishes up this week looking at worldviews and debates. There is always a killer question asked that ultimately gets past the talking points and to the meat of any issue. It is impossible for two completely different worldviews to exist side by side so we must be free of censorship and ad hominem attacks to debate each side.

John’s quote of the week:
Now is the time to speak. If you are silent, then you are giving tacit approval to the lie. But, when you do speak, there is a risk – especially if small numbers of people are speaking. But this is the battle. As free speech dies, freedom will die very rapidly with it.

In this week’s Extras segment, we play an interview from June 2012 with Dr. James Hutchens and a boralogue from November 2013, both covering the Obama administration’s handling of Iran and issues in the Middle East. There is a stark difference between how things were handled then and how things are handled now.
