Colleges used to be bastions of free speech but in recent years have become a staunch enemy of our First Amendment. Travis Barham (adflegal.org), Senior Counsel at Alliance Defending Freedom, joins us today to discuss a current Supreme Court case he’s working on. The case involves a student at a Georgia college who was made to jump through hoops just to speak freely about his faith on campus, only to find his rights were still violated after all the hoop-jumping. Speech zones, small corners of campus where one can still speak his or her mind, are on trial, but it’s the future of the First Amendment’s freedoms of speech and religion that are really at stake.
