What can the United States learn from the coup that ousted the Shah of Iran in 1979? Who better to answer that than an Iranian-born, now U.S. citizen and Christian pastor? Shahram Hadian (tilproject.com), Founder of the Truth in Love Project, joins us today. He gives a history of what happened leading up to and during the 1979 revolution in Iran. Calls were made for free education and health care, media began favoring a particular side, and elections were rigged along with candidates and even the outcomes. After the revolution, those who advocated for it were found on the wrong side of power. We are seeing eerily similar events unfolding in the United States right now and it’s not unfair to assume that we could end up in a similar place as Iran did post-revolution. That is, unless we push back against the madness and keep history from repeating itself.
