The first part of the military oath, to support and defend the Constitution, is fairly straightforward. But the second part – to obey the orders of the President and superior officers – is beginning to interfere with the first part. Joining us today is Mike Berry (firstliberty.org), General Counsel for First Liberty Institute and member of the U.S. Marine Corps. He draws on his experience in the military to show the woke policies being put in place, including snitch lines. Also, if military personnel hold certain beliefs, they are now being labeled as extremist and anti-civil rights – beliefs such pro-life, traditional marriage, etc. If we continue down this line, our military enemies may not have to fire a shot to defeat us.
The Atlantic recently published an anonymously sourced story about disparaging – now discredited as having never happened – remarks made by President Trump against our military. Chaplain Gordon Klingenschmitt (www.prayinjesusname.org), founder and CEO of the Pray in Jesus' Name Project, joins us to analyze whether that story will affect the military vote in November and give his prediction of what the final breakdown will be for the military vote. He goes on to discuss how polls are conducted and their methodology. He also covers the dangers of mail-in voting, drawing on his experience with it in his home state of Colorado.
