Elite academic institutions have developed a stifling surveillance system built around Covid protocols, and some students seem to be OK with it. New Jersey-based independent journalist Michael Tracey (mtracey.substack.com) joins us today. He looks at how administrators not only encourage a permanent state of emergency, but also a snitch culture, pitting student against student. The policies infringe on students' freedoms and lack any off-ramp where the problem is eventually solved. With so much time and money tied up in Covid spending and an unhealthy addiction to power and control by administrators, the current draconian way of doing things at these elite institutions is not going away any time soon.
A soft layer of anti-semitism surrounds a lot of the cancel culture on campus and within the protests we see playing out every night in America. Today, we welcome back long-time friend of the show Dexter Van Zile (www.camera.org), Christian Media Analyst for CAMERA. He discusses the case of a Jewish scholar who, despite immense fanfare at his hiring, was quietly let go after his support for Israel was discovered. These leftist bullying tactics are spreading from college campuses into the streets and into everyday lives.
