Yesterday we played part 1 of our 2-part interview with Neil Kiernan (v-radio.us), host of the V-Radio podcast. Once the interview was over, the discussion kept going. Today's podcast features a casual post-interview conversation between John and Neil where they chat about their various experiences dealing with politicians and fighting the globalist mindset. They mention Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, Ayn Rand, immigrant labor, conspiracy theories, and even the late George Carlin.
The word psyops is most often used in describing crazy conspiracy theories, but there's actually psychological warfare being conducted on U.S. soil right now – and it's not a theory. Joining us today is Dexter Van Zile (camera.org), Christian Media Analyst for CAMERA, and he describes what happened to him during a Students for Palestine rally at the University of Massachusetts campus in Boston. A few days later, a rabbi in Boston was stabbed 8 times. There's a degradation of civility in the U.S. and a significant part of that is aimed at Jews and supporters of Israel. This psychological, and at times physically violent, warfare is a result of untrue narratives being perpetuated throughout the media and in the education system.
The Free Expression Institute just handed out awards meant to honor – well, free expression – but the awards ended up going to people in social media and Big Tech who have been instrumental in censoring conservatives. Joining us today from Massachusetts is G. Tod Slone (theamericandissident.org), Founder of the American Dissident. He looks at the numerous violations of free speech occurring in society today and how, even though we have the First Amendment, many people feel the need to self-censor in order to steer clear of hassle. And if we don't self-censor, then the tech overlords will do it for us.
There are those who believe that the virus doesn't exist and the vaccine is a bio-weapon. That there will be a massive problem for those who were vaccinated beginning later this year. We may not agree with everything those folks are saying, but John has always been willing to give them the freedom to express their views. So today, we welcome self-proclaimed anarchist, retired financial advisor Gary Barnett (garybarnett.com), to the show. He gives his views on how the recent cyber attacks were a test run for more hazardous disruptions, and how the messenger RNA vaccines are not what has been advertised. He looks at where we're headed and why the powers that be would mislead us about the virus and the vaccines.
Producer Steve has spent the last several weeks researching conspiracy podcasts and websites just to see what kind of information is out there and why it seems so popular. On today's podcast, Steve, John, and Carol discuss the many issues surrounding the so-called “tin foil hat” crowd. Topics include the “scam-demic” view of the virus, whether the vaccine will change your DNA, the idea that President Trump will soon be back in office, and even the belief that Adolph Hitler escaped Europe and lived out his golden years in South America. They even offer a possible explanation as to why people believe this stuff. A little outside the norm for Steel, but still one heck of an interesting episode!
When you get two radio veterans from opposite ends of the world with nearly a century of experience between them together, you get a fascinating conversation. John welcomes New Zealand radio legend Leighton Smith (www.newstalkzb.co.nz) to the show this week for an extended discussion on the state of the world today. They cover many topics, including Marxism's infiltration of the West, the real definition of truth, and the media's blatant narratives against the Right, as well as New Zealanders' battles with politically correct policies.
The leftists have permeated our institutions and our governments and many in Western countries have allowed it to happen. As John says, we have been very busy chewing out our guts and then assuming freedom will continue to stand. But when you use the very benefits of the society you're trying to destroy, the society itself will not stand.
In order to fight misinformation and conspiracy theories, Microsoft has teamed with other companies to trace online content back to its original author in what some people are calling a huge setback in data privacy. Back with us is Russ White (www.rule11.tech), nationwide expert in network architecture, who details the plans of this new cabal. Even if these companies have good intentions, electronic chips can be hacked and backdoor programs can be installed that would completely undermine the original intent of their plan.
In the name of combating misinformation and conspiracy theories, Microsoft has teamed with several other companies to trace content online back to its original author in what some people are calling a huge setback in data privacy. Back with us today is Russ White (rule11.tech), nationwide expert in network architecture, who details the plan of this new cabal, called the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity. He shows that even in the unlikely event that these companies have good intentions, electronic chips can be hacked and unseen backdoor programs can be installed that would completely undermine the original intent of the plan.
John has always said that Steel on Steel is an antidote to the mainstream media who reports some stories and not other stories. But the media is now going one step further and reporting outright lies in the service of a narrative. We open the show this week with John, Carol, and Steve discussing the many lies, obfuscations, and false narratives from the mainstream media. Included are the Washington Post ‘Find the Fraud' story against President Trump and Tucker Carlson's comments on pregnant women in the military.
Some states have business laws friendly to owners and others have laws that clamp down on business progress. Andrea O'Sullivan (www.jamesmadison.org), Director of the Center for Technology and Innovation at the James Madison Institute, joins us. She examines the advantages of having a decentralized system of business so that a company can communicate directly with its consumers and bypass the potential censorship of Big Tech. Many businesses are flocking to states that will afford them this freedom.
Hospitals are now required to enforce price transparency, but many are still fighting against it. Dr. Steven Goldstein (www.houstonhealthcareinitiative.org), Founder of the Houston Healthcare Initiative, joins us to look at the difference between a cost-plus system, which has always been in place, and an up-font one-price system, which would incentivize hospital staff to be more efficient. Many hospitals, however, are stubbornly sticking with cost-plus.
John finishes up the program this week analyzing a couple of news stories showing how totalitarianism is rearing its ugly head on both coasts. Marxism is quickly infiltrating Western society and soon anyone who doesn't agree with the politically correct narrative of the day, will be at best censored or at worst be jailed.
The Washington Post issued a massive correction on a story from two months ago that, not surprisingly, cast President Donald Trump in a very negative light. The reason for the retraction – it was all a complete lie. John, Carol, and Steve convene the Steel Round Table today to cover the many lies, obfuscations, and false narratives from the mainstream media. In addition to the Post story, they discuss Tucker Carlson's women in the military comments, and Russia's attempts at misleading us. The media wanted us to focus on the phrase 'find the fraud:' it looks like we have.
Radical leftists are trying to fundamentally transform our country. As a result, people are pushing back in several different ways. The first way can be found in turning the left's sanctuary status campaign back around on them. Joining us this week from the Oklahoma State House of Representatives are Speaker Charles McCall and Representative Jay Steagall. They discuss State House Bill 1236, which gives the state the power to review and if needed overrule executive orders from Washington DC that violate the Constitution. States are beginning to fight back by exercising their tenth amendment rights.
Another example of pushing back against the radicals can be seen in the state of Oregon right now. Michael McCarter (greateridaho.org), President of Move Oregon's Border, describes his group's initiative to transfer several eastern counties in Oregon into the state of Idaho, effectively moving the border between each state. There are several steps to make this happen, but the initiative is now on the May 2021 ballot in Oregon. There is a great frustration among many conservatives who are forced to live with terrible policies just because they reside inside a blue state's borders. We'll see if their effort to escape that will be successful.
Finally this week, John and Producer Steve sit down to look at some of the crazier ways that people are pushing back, including conspiracy theories and civil wars. A civil war is being waged in both political parties between the establishment types and those that want change. There are also conspiracy theories surrounding not only the January 6 incident at the Capitol, but also with vaccines. With so much misinformation flowing from politicians and the media, people are finding all sorts of ways to cope and push back against the radicals.
