It's difficult to fight against any enemy – whether it be a vast army or hordes of ideological Marxists slowly eroding the foundation of your country – if you don't know who you are as a society. America has lost what it means to be American. Opening up this week, we are joined by author and cryptography expert Paul Rosenberg (freemansperspective.com). He points out that America has lost its metanarrative. We used to build things, care about things. But today, our proud heritage of innovation and freedom has fallen victim to a Marxist enemy intent on destroying us. Can we fight back? Only if we remember who we are.

One way Marxists have eroded our national identity is by long marching through the institution of education. Parents must take back their children's education with a long march of their own. We welcome Joe Murray (joemurrayenterprises.com), attorney, teacher, and founder of Joe Murray Enterprises to the show. He discusses ways public education should change to allow students to think for themselves instead of being indoctrinated. There are realistic steps parents can take right now to start marching in the other direction.

John finishes out the show this week looking at the different stages of totalitarianism, using the Canadian government's tactics against the Freedom Convoy trucker protest as an example.

John flies solo on today's podcast, looking at the Canadian truckers' protest convoy and how it highlights a few things about totalitarian governments.  He shows the different stages governments, like Canada now, go through in trying to hold on to their power.  When they are threatened by protest, especially by a large group, they try name calling, shaming, and even brute force to shut down dissent.  John goes over the possible outcomes of a protest like this.  We always advocate to stand up for truth and what's right.  The truckers in Canada have been standing up – or rolling out in their case – against totalitarianism.

Woke Word Games

The media are masters at manipulating words, deflecting blame, and promoting one side of politics rather than reporting on facts. In short, the truth is sacrificed in favor of narrative. We kick off this week's show with John tying together several issues, including the media's twisted word games, government officials' useless policies, and academia's constant promotion of the oppressor versus oppressed narrative. The problem is that these woke word games have real world consequences and it's costing people their jobs and sometimes their lives. When we push back – and many are pushing back – the manipulators fight viciously to protect their lie.

Familiar narratives have emerged from the latest climate conference, only now there's a new more sinister directive included. Back with us this week is Alex Newman (thenewamerican.com), Senior Editor at The New American Magazine. He discusses how the globalists, who push this climate narrative, want energy prices to go up, the U.S. economy to crash, and manufacturing jobs to migrate to China. Their plan seems to be working as massive amounts of newly-printed money are chasing far fewer goods because of supply chain issues. Alex says it is an organized looting of our economy.

Finally this week, we revisit an old favorite on Steel on Steel: civil asset forfeiture. It has run amok for years but now some jurisdictions are beginning to take notice. Joining us is CJ Ciaramella (reason.com), Criminal Justice correspondent at Reason Magazine. He examines different tactics used during and after police seizures as well as new reform laws, and the loopholes to try and get around those laws. If ironclad reform that can withstand challenges isn't possible, then asset forfeiture should be eliminated.

The latest climate conference produced much of the same narrative we've heard for the last few decades.  Only this time, there was a new directive added to the mix.  Back with us today is Alex Newman (thenewamerican.com), Senior Editor at The New American Magazine.  The new directive was to raise energy prices, do everything to destroy the U.S. economy, and ship manufacturing jobs to China.  A huge amount of money is being printed and it's now chasing a lot less goods because of supply chain shortages.  It is, as Alex says, an organized looting of our economy – and the writing has been on the wall for years.

Christmas without a Christ, salvation without a savior, and redemption without repentance. Those things are not possible but that doesn't stop many people today from wanting them. John opens our Christmas show taking a look at the two things we are guaranteed to encounter in our lives: reality and God. Those aforementioned people are looking for solid rock truth, but in Marxism, which only traffics in false narratives and disingenuous "truth" claims. Christ, the reason for Christmas, is at odds with Marxism. One of them is true while the other is false. We all know which one wins that battle.

So why do young people so often look for truth in Marxism and socialism? Has it always been that way or is it specific to today's youth? Our first guest this week is Brandon Smith (alt-market.us), Founder of the Alternative Market Project. He posits that young people have grown up with little strife but the real world is, in their minds, too cruel when they grow up and encounter it. They turn then to socialism as a replacement parent. He discusses how different generations have handled this and what we can do moving forward.

Finally this week, we break out the crystal ball for some speculation and analysis of the future. There is much rumbling in Washington DC and around the country about the future of Kamala Harris in the White House. What will become of her? Back with us to gaze into that crystal ball is writer and retired entrepreneur Bob Adelmann (thenewamerican.com). He gives his theories on the Vice President, but also looks at geopolitics, economics, and mandates as we deal with a weak leadership in America.

Lots of rumbling in Washington DC and around the country about the future of Kamala Harris in the White House: will she assume the presidency when President Biden can no longer do the job or will she be summarily let go?  We don't normally traffic in speculation, but for today, we are breaking out the crystal ball.  Back with us to gaze into it and give his outlook is writer and retired entrepreneur Bob Adelmann (thenewamerican.com).  He discusses a few theories, but also looks at the geopolitical, economic, and mandate issues surrounding us as we trudge through a weak and unstable leadership in America.

The Warsaw Security Forum was held last week, highlighting the geopolitics of military defense. First up this week is one of our regular guests who attended that conference, Ukraine-based defense expert Reuben Johnson. He examines NATO's defense against possible Russian aggression, the future of the manufacture of weapon systems, how countries are questioning the Biden administration after the debacle in Afghanistan, and China's provocation toward Taiwan as they deal with internal problems.

Next up, we dive deeper into China's provocation toward Taiwan and President Biden's meeting with Xi Jinping. We welcome up Stephen Bryen (centerforsecuritypolicy.org), Senior Fellow at the Center for Security Policy. He explains the history between China, Taiwan, and the U.S. and how the Biden administration is putting out mixed messages as to their foreign policy. In the end, no one is sure who's in charge at the White House with their fractured foreign policy, which ultimately leaves Taiwan in greater danger.

We move away from geopolitics and ask the question: what is the future of the Christian church amid all of the chaos in the world? Joining us next is Mike LeMay, retired General Manager of Q90FM in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He discusses how we are coming in to a time of religious persecution where we will have to choose between worldly churches and Bible-believing underground churches. Christians can fight the battles of this world, but we must keep our hearts in the Lord. Living in this fallen world, we may lose battles from time to time, but with God on our side, we ultimately win the war.

Finally, we take a look back at January 6, 2021. It wasn't an insurrection, but there was violence and the identity of some of the planners of that violence are being revealed. Rounding out the show this week is author, activist, and podcast host Suzzanne Monk (trumptalk.us). Some of the regular citizens who were arrested that day are still being held without a trial, while it has been discovered that Antifa and the FBI both had a hand in planning the part that was violent. With overwhelming odds against people who support former President Trump, it seems the Left wants conservatives to live in fear.

Stephen Bryen: Mixed Messaging on Taiwan

Chairman Xi of China and President Biden met last month to discuss Taiwan and they announced that they had agreed to stick to the Taiwan Agreement. But both Taiwan and our own State Department are unsure of what that means. Joining us to discuss this is Stephen Bryen (centerforsecuritypolicy.org), Senior Fellow at the Center for Security Policy. He explains the history of what is actually a series of Taiwan assurances – not one agreement – and how if President Biden doesn't know anything about this history, can he be trusted to come to the aid of an ally? No one is exactly sure who is in charge at the White House, but if a clear anti-aggression foreign policy regarding China and Taiwan isn't expressed, Taiwan could soon suffer a similar fate as Hong Kong.

It's important to make sense of the turmoil we see in the news and in society. And no one does it better than fan favorite Victor Davis Hanson (victorhanson.com), Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution. He looks at the globalists' plan to destroy national citizenry and replace it with a global community. Does the definition of ‘citizen' even matter anymore when migrants flood across the border and aren't made to take a Covid vaccine, but American citizens are forced to, often at the cost of their jobs? The turmoil depicted in the news and seen in society is largely without logic and reason, and because of that, the ‘national citizen' is waking up and fighting back.

America's enemies are hard at work around the globe – what are we doing to beef up our defenses? Not much, as it turns out. Joining us this week is David Pyne (emptaskforce.us), Deputy Director of National Operations for the EMP Task Force on National and Homeland Security. He points out that the U.S. has not kept pace with Russia and China since the end of the Cold War as far as nuclear capabilities and EMP weapons. We haven't even hardened our grid against EMP attack. Why, despite multiple warnings, are our government and our military focusing on trivial issues and not on defense?

We've seen plenty of examples showing how green energy, beneficial as it may be, is not ready for prime time. Is Great Britain getting that message? Rounding out the show this week from the UK is Dr. John Constable (thegwpf.com), Energy Editor for the Global Warming Policy Foundation. He explains how the UK's climate policy over the past few years focused on the short term at the expense of the long term. Political correctness, media coverage, and other non-climate-related issues are influencing that policy. It's OK to have a climate policy, but it has to be based on logic and reason. Right now it isn't.

Can we turn around the bad times we're experiencing today or is it too late?  Either way, what does that mean for our future and for the future of the Christian Church?  Joining us today is Mike LeMay, retired General Manager of Q90FM in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  He discusses how the few foundational blocks holding up Western society are beginning to wobble and once the first one collapses, the others won't be far behind.  A public-private partnership has been created that will usher in this collapse, all while claiming they have the answers.  How will churches fare?  There will be worldly churches and there will be underground churches.  We can fight the battles of this world, but keep your heart in the Lord.  Know that while the Bible says we will lose the earthly battle, we will ultimately win the eternal war.
