We certainly see a lot of examples of how this country is going in the wrong direction, but perhaps the most important trend isn't getting much attention. Joining us today for a sobering conversation is Steve Cable (probe.org), Senior Vice President of Probe Ministries. His studies show that in the last decade the number of Christians who successfully answered doctrinal questions about Christianity fell from 50% to just 25%. In other words, only a quarter of people who claim to be born again Christian answered correctly all 4 questions about what it means to be a born again Christian. For a country built on Judeo-Christian values, this is an alarming indication of what the future may hold for America.
Culture has become more secularized in the past few decades, but so has the church. More and more people are not going to church and more churches are compromising their Christian doctrines to cater to the secularized culture. Joining us today is Ken Ham (answersingenesis.org), CEO and Founder of Answers in Genesis, the Creation Museum, and the world-renowned Ark Encounter. He lays out four mandates to help prepare Christians to take a bold stand, defend God's Word, and take on the secular culture. The Church needs to be clear-eyed and less conflicted. The enemies of Christianity have lurked around the Church's gates for years – now they're inside and we need to fight back.
How far has Western civilization declined and is it reversible? Is it realistic to believe that we will continue to enjoy the freedoms that were established at the founding of this country once the pro-Marxism crowd fundamentally transforms that foundation? Here today to discuss is Mark Tapson (marktapson.com), Journalism Fellow at the Horowitz Freedom Center. We need to stand up, speak out, and start focusing on important topics instead of getting wrapped up in frivolous controversies. Will we be able to slow or even stop the long march through the institutions? Our arguments are strong and will win the debate. We just need to take the fight to them, reverse the long march, and take back our institutions.
