dictatorships

We often talk about totalitarianism, that which occurred in the past as well as what's happening now. On today's podcast, we're going to take a break from the news and get into the details of what totalitarianism exactly is. Joining us to chat about that is literature and history teacher Walker Larson (thehazelnut.substack.com). He describes the different stages of totalitarianism, based on what we've seen in history, and shows some pretty shocking similarities to society today. These stages, by the way, mark a vivid resemblance to the different stages of religious persecution.

From the multi-faceted destructive plans of the globalists to the similar, more local tactics of change agents, the fundamental transformation of society rolls on. But when the West projects weak leadership and flawed thinking, the transformation rolls a little faster. First up this week is retired U.S. Navy Captain James Fanell (gcsp.ch), who looks at the disconnect in the Western press between what's happening in Ukraine and the reality of why it's happening. Weakness in American government has given Vladmir Putin the green light to attack Ukraine. Captain Fanell also discusses how China is taking advantage of our weakness to fill Russia's new economic void.

The globalists' overall plan, called the Great Reset, involves transforming the economic landscape. Like with China's social credit score, this transformation will involve what is known as ESG scores for businesses. Here to examine ESG is Pat Wood (technocracy.news), Editor of Technocracy News and Executive Director of Citizens for Free Speech. He shows how companies are being forced to comply with sustainable development and climate change policies in order to survive. Companies are evaluated subjectively based on leftist narratives rather than objectively. Once ESG takes hold, it will affect not only the business marketplace, but also our ability to function within it.

Finally this week, we take a look at the growth of multi-state regional government-like groups who push their destructive change agent policies. Joining us is Kathleen Marquardt (americanpolicy.org), Vice President and Director of the American Policy Center. In her area in Tennessee, one of these groups has popped up and she describes what the group is doing and her efforts to stop them. These quasi-governmental and public entities are actually public-private partnerships designed to seize private property by end-running the Constitution.

In regards to the horrific events in Ukraine, you get the impression in reading the American press, that there's a disconnect between what is happening and the reality of why it is happening. To connect the two, we welcome, from his home in Switzerland, retired U.S. Navy Captain James Fanell (gcsp.ch). After retirement, he served as Director of Intelligence for the U.S. Pacific Fleet. He examines the weakness of our current administration and how projecting that weakness shines a bright green light for someone like Putin to do what he's doing. Captain Fanell also looks at America's and Europe's exclusion of all things Russia and how China is stepping in to fill Russia's economic void.

Canada has enacted emergency measures, labeling the truckers as terrorists and their protest as illegal, simply because they disagree with the official government narrative. John opens the program this week asking how temporary will these emergency powers be and when will they be used in the future. He shows that the same people who for years praised the art of protesting and occupying are now insisting that the Freedom Convoy is a threat and must be stopped. It becomes nearly impossible to march in lockstep with a group of people that keeps changing directions and doesn't bother to tell you.

Meanwhile, in this country, the Senate is looking at Senate Bill 673, the Journalism Competition and Preservation Act. What is it and how will the media benefit? Back with us to discuss is Pat Wood (citizensforfreespeech.org), Executive Director of Citizens for Free Speech and Editor of Technocracy News. Failing mainstream media outlets will use this bill to poach profits from social media companies because their content is being posted online. Their business plans have failed so this is an effort to siphon off others to stay afloat. And it could end up affecting independent news.

Finally this week, we take a look at two cases of constitutional end running. First we welcome JD Tuccille (reason.com) to the program to discuss how San Jose, California is trying to get around the Second Amendment by requiring gun owners to have insurance, using private companies to do what government cannot. Then we are joined by Stephanie Taub (firstliberty.org), Senior Counsel at the First Liberty Institute, who gives an update on how Oregon is still violating Aaron and Melissa Klein's religious freedom.

Where are we heading? It's a question we like to visit often here at Steel on Steel. And who better to answer that question than our favorite futurist James Kunstler (kunstler.com)? He and John discuss many issues, including where resources and supply chains will be heading and how to prepare, where to locate should shortages happen, and the need for parallel societies – ones based not necessarily on political ideology but on need. They also look at the state of medicine today, which is a far cry from where it was pre-covid, and what medicine will look like once the covid narrative fades into obscurity. James breaks out his very realistic crystal ball on today's podcast.

Marxist Toxicity

Broadcast Running Time: 1:20:19

First up this week Peter Hammond (www.frontlinemissionsa.org), Founder and Director of Frontline Fellowship, joins us from South Africa to examine the inner workings of Marxist revolutions and how once the leaders get in power, there is no need to keep around the folks who got them there. He also looks at the psychological warfare that Marxists use to manipulate the masses.

Then we chat with Stanley Kurtz (www.eppc.org), Senior Fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, who discusses the history of multiculturalism, the rise in speech codes, and the odd, contradictory concept of strategic essentialism.

John then looks at two streams of toxic thought in the boralogue – that of Marxism and postmodernism. He shows how we came from a solid foundation in America to a near Marxist takeover and contrasts the toxicity of today's popular narratives with that of our Judeo-Christian roots.

We wrap out the show this week with a clip from John's appearance on KYMS radio recently where he and host, Lee Lancaster, discuss a variety of topics including what happens when Marxism comes to your church and the philosophies of mob rule. The full interview will post Sunday for Premium Members.

Peter Hammond: Marxist Psy-Ops

Broadcast Running Time: 22:30

Peter Hammond (www.frontlinemissionsa.org), Founder and Director of Frontline Fellowship, joins us from southern Africa on our inaugural daily podcast of Steel of Steel where he examines the inner workings of Marxist revolutions and how once the leaders get in power, there is no need to keep around those folks who got them there.

Peter and John discuss the psychological warfare that Marxists use to convince the masses they should be in power and, once there, brainwash them in order to keep it.
