Joe Biden has said that the next Supreme Court Justice should be a black female – definitely a woke policy. But what happens when you apply that policy to hiring for an airline pilot? Joining us today to lend his expertise is retired airline pilot Captain Al Francis (captain-al-speaking.com). He relates several examples of airline disasters that happened because of either a fault in the plane's design or lack of experience by a pilot – incidents where many people died. If certain groups of people are not making the grade or performing at a higher level, then we should be asking why that is, not adjusting the standards in an attempt to make everyone equal.
There are many people in this country who are standing up against the woke, against the totalitarians, against the Marxists. One of those folks is here to lead off the show this week, free speech activist Simon Campbell. He details how a school board in Pennsylvania – one he once served on – has denied some parents the right to speak out against the board members. Three of those parents, together with Simon, are taking the board to court. He also looks at ways to improve education. He embodies John's axiom: I will not sit down; I will not shut up!
Another fighter who is standing up and doing something is best-selling author and feminist leader Dr. Phyllis Chesler (phyllis-chesler.com). She is spearheading efforts to help some Afghan women who don't feel safe in their own country escape what would almost assuredly be a terrible fate. She and John also discuss the sticky and complex issues surrounding immigration, especially the concern regarding assimilation to Western culture.
John has often said that if what is logical does not seem to be happening, then some other agenda is afoot. There's nothing logical in the opposition to voter ID, so the question is: what's the other agenda? Rounding out the show this week is Dr. John Lott (crimeresearch.org), Founder and President of the Crime Prevention Research Center. He shows what other countries do with voter ID and asks why democrats here oppose it. We all know why. We just need politicians to stand up and do something about it.
The Pennsbury School Board, in Bucks County, Pennsylvania north of Philadelphia, recently became the latest flashpoint for angry parents – and the Board's attempts to shut them up. One parent is fighting back by taking the school board to court. Joining us today is a plaintiff in that suit, free speech activist Simon Campbell. Simon, a former Pennsbury School Board member himself, explains what led up to his fiery appearance before the board in June and the subsequent lawsuit. He discusses the rules of the board and how they counteract the U.S. Constitution. He also looks at ways to improve education, including diminishing teachers unions and advocating for merit-based teacher pay. He's the very embodiment of John's axiom: I will not sit down; I will not shut up!
