founding documents

The Warsaw Security Forum was held last week, highlighting the geopolitics of military defense. First up this week is one of our regular guests who attended that conference, Ukraine-based defense expert Reuben Johnson. He examines NATO's defense against possible Russian aggression, the future of the manufacture of weapon systems, how countries are questioning the Biden administration after the debacle in Afghanistan, and China's provocation toward Taiwan as they deal with internal problems.

Next up, we dive deeper into China's provocation toward Taiwan and President Biden's meeting with Xi Jinping. We welcome up Stephen Bryen (centerforsecuritypolicy.org), Senior Fellow at the Center for Security Policy. He explains the history between China, Taiwan, and the U.S. and how the Biden administration is putting out mixed messages as to their foreign policy. In the end, no one is sure who's in charge at the White House with their fractured foreign policy, which ultimately leaves Taiwan in greater danger.

We move away from geopolitics and ask the question: what is the future of the Christian church amid all of the chaos in the world? Joining us next is Mike LeMay, retired General Manager of Q90FM in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He discusses how we are coming in to a time of religious persecution where we will have to choose between worldly churches and Bible-believing underground churches. Christians can fight the battles of this world, but we must keep our hearts in the Lord. Living in this fallen world, we may lose battles from time to time, but with God on our side, we ultimately win the war.

Finally, we take a look back at January 6, 2021. It wasn't an insurrection, but there was violence and the identity of some of the planners of that violence are being revealed. Rounding out the show this week is author, activist, and podcast host Suzzanne Monk (trumptalk.us). Some of the regular citizens who were arrested that day are still being held without a trial, while it has been discovered that Antifa and the FBI both had a hand in planning the part that was violent. With overwhelming odds against people who support former President Trump, it seems the Left wants conservatives to live in fear.

Can we turn around the bad times we're experiencing today or is it too late?  Either way, what does that mean for our future and for the future of the Christian Church?  Joining us today is Mike LeMay, retired General Manager of Q90FM in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  He discusses how the few foundational blocks holding up Western society are beginning to wobble and once the first one collapses, the others won't be far behind.  A public-private partnership has been created that will usher in this collapse, all while claiming they have the answers.  How will churches fare?  There will be worldly churches and there will be underground churches.  We can fight the battles of this world, but keep your heart in the Lord.  Know that while the Bible says we will lose the earthly battle, we will ultimately win the eternal war.

Sometimes genuine liberals follow the facts, have an awakening, and/or reject woke ideology. Only then can you have a real, substantive conversation. Joining us today for that real conversation is a genuine liberal, Neil Kiernan (v-radio.us), host of the V-Radio podcast. In an extended chat, he and John discuss the toxic nature of biased journalism, the best ways to reach people from the other side of the ideological aisle, and their individual experiences battling the globalist agenda. More and more people – on both sides – are getting sick of the craziness and moving to more rational and sane conversations.

What is the best way to eradicate critical race theory from our schools? The answer may surprise you. Rounding out our show this week is attorney and writer ME Boyd (missconstitution.com), known as Miss Constitution. After recounting the history of education before and after the 1962 decision to outlaw prayer in schools, she posits that CRT is a religion itself and should, based on precedent, be banned from education. It is far more coercive in its religious-like fervor to rid our schools of morality, honor, and faith and replace it with hatred and division. So it should be removed.

The reason for much of the strife we see today, including what happened in Afghanistan as well as the failure of the woke ideology in the U.S., is the stark difference in right vs left worldviews. First up this week is Jason Ross (liberty.edu), Interim Dean of the Helms School of Government at Liberty University. He looks at one aspect of the leftist worldview – America is evil because of our past with slavery. What sets America apart, though, is that we got rid of slavery. Our founding documents and Judeo-Christian foundation paved the way for this. So the leftist narrative that we are evil because of our past with slavery ignores our history.

As Afghanistan spirals out of control, another country is spiraling down in a different way. Australia has gone into lockdown again, causing some to wonder if the country is turning back into a penal colony. Joining us from Down Under is Matthew Wong (discernable.io), Founder of Discernable media. He describes some of the draconian measures authorities are taking in his country. The government keeps moving the goalposts to hold on to power. Matt and John debate the best way to make people realize that the totalitarians are here.

Finally this week we dive into the world of cyber attacks and espionage. Weifeng Zhong (policychangeindex.org), Senior Research Fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University is with us. He discusses what little our government is doing to protect citizens and its own assets from cyber attacks. The powers that be, however, are not seriously looking at the problem because the politically correct thing to do is to not criticize the number one cyber attacker in the world – China.

John finishes up the program with some thoughts on what happened in Afghanistan.

Joining us today is Jason Ross (liberty.edu), Interim Dean of the Helms School of Government at Liberty University. He takes a look at the history of slavery in the U.S. and puts into perspective our country's role in the practice. Slavery has existed in one form or another globally for all of human existence. Yes, even in the U.S. What sets America apart is that we got rid of it. Our founding documents and our Judeo-Christian foundation paved the way for this. And the narrative from CRT peddlers today that we are an irredeemable country because of racism simply does not hold up under the factual reality of our history.

Wouldn't be great if we had precedent on our side that would prohibit CRT from being taught in schools? One legal scholar says we do. Joining us today is attorney and writer ME Boyd (missconstitution.com), known as Miss Constitution. She gives a history of education before and after prayer was deemed unconstitutional in 1962. But in that ruling and in subsequent ones, the Supreme Court ruled that religion in schools was coercive and therefore not allowed. Critical race theory is far more coercive in its religious-like fervor to rid our schools of morality, honor, and faith and replace it with hatred and division.

We hold these truths to be self-evident… Familiar words from our nation's Declaration. Dr. Paul Seaton (stmarys.edu), Professor of Philosophy at St. Mary's Seminary and University, joins us today to compare the 'we' from the Declaration's time to today's 'we.' There used to be a shared belief in the foundational principles of this country, even if you ideologically disagreed on other issues. No such commonality exists today. But the progressive's long march through the institutions has sped up recently and people are beginning to wake up and fight back. One way they're fighting back is with new institutions that uphold our foundations and teach the truth.

Bill Federer: True Story of Independence

Broadcast Running Time: 25:48

Happy Independence Day everyone! Those on the Left constantly berate our Founding Fathers for being slave owners and that fact alone negates any and all good that they accomplished. Joining us for this Independence Day podcast is Bill Federer (americanminute.com), President of AmeriSearch, Inc. He gives the history of slavery in the world and specifically in North America. He cites examples of who were the slaveholders and what they ultimately thought of the practice, and who were the ones who started the anti-slavery movement. He also explains the reason for omitting slavery from the Declaration and how the two political parties have felt about slavery and the black population over the years. Slavery was horrible, but we got rid of it! An entertaining history lesson on today's podcast!
