There has been an erosion of positions in the West on issues that should be firmly held, including that of Israel and anti-Semitism. Back with us today is CAMERA's Christian Media Analyst Dexter Van Zile (camera.org). He describes his battles against anti-Semitism and concludes that it is becoming more and more dangerous for Diaspora Jews. There is widespread hypocrisy regarding the issue of tolerance and Jews in large measure find themselves on the losing side of that hypocrisy. In the overarching battle, the message seems to be about depriving Jews of their rights – both in Israel and here in America.
How does an ideological dustup at a Canadian school board meeting reflect what's going on around the world? Back with us today to answer that is Christine Douglass-Williams (frontpagemag.com), Associate Editor at FrontPage Magazine. She recalls how a difference in ideological opinion surrounding the Israel-Palestinian issue almost got a woman kicked off a school board for "Islamophobic" comments. She retained her position but this incident points to a larger problem of condoning anti-semitism in the name of diversity and inclusion. She also discusses the close relationship between BLM, Antifa, and pro-Palestinian groups.
Recently, a Canadian tax court judge, who is Jewish, was barred from presiding over cases involving Muslims. Of course, he was labeled an Islamophobe, ignoring most of the facts surrounding the case. Back with us today is Christine Douglass-Williams (frontpagemag.com), writer at FrontPage Magazine and Jihad Watch. She gives a synopsis of the situation and connects what is happening with the judge to a larger narrative within the Canadian government. And surrounding it all is a media and political machine where talking points and so-called facts are actually flipped upside down. A blizzard of lies is being marketed as the truth.
Are Leftism and Islamism cut from the same cloth? Zainab Al-Suwaij (aicongress.org), Founder and Executive Director of the American-Islamic Congress, joins us today to discuss the current state of Islam in the West. She looks at the battle between the religion of Islam and the political Islamists that want to radicalize young men for violence. She also points out that while leftists and Islamists have almost no values in common, they seem to be fellow travelers ideologically when it comes to gaining and holding on to power. In order to talk honestly about all of this, we need to tune out the leftist calls of Islamophobia and focus on reality.
