It is said that those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it. But the lesson that history teaches is that most people don't know the lessons of history. Here this week to help us understand the mindset of progressives – a group that never seems to learn from history – is Pedro Blas Gonzalez (barry.edu), Professor of Philosophy at Barry University. He looks at why people and leaders in totalitarian societies have behaved the way they have throughout history. Understanding their motivation helps to explain the illogic and contradictions constantly bandied about by the Left today. And it helps clarify for us what the truth really is.

One lesson we can learn from history is from the people and movements surrounding the fall of Communism in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Spotlighting both Pope John Paul II and the Solidarity movement in Poland is Stephanie Slade (reaosn.com), Managing Editor at Reason Magazine. She examines how the people in Poland never gave up on freedom, even when the powers that be tried to take it from them. Eventually, they had had enough, decided they were no longer going to live that way, and together with Pope John Paul II and others, planted the seeds of destruction for Communism. It's a great history lesson for today.

John finishes up the show this week highlighting inconsistencies in history. When flip flopping narratives replace truth, the solid foundation you built your belief or your society on begins to be overshadowed by other, less important things. That's when historical truth is forgotten and mistakes that shouldn't be made are made all over again.

It hurts the brain sometimes to try and make sense of the constant contradictions of the progressive ideology. Joining us today to sort through a lot of it is Pedro Blas Gonzalez (barry.edu), Professor of Philosophy at Barry University near Miami, Florida. He dives into the progressive mindset and looks at the history of why people and leaders in totalitarian societies behave the way they do. It helps to explain the illogicity behind the contradictions we hear from the far left in today's society. It all boils down to power and the willingness to do anything and everything to get it and to keep it.

Klaus Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forum, convened a meeting this month to create the Great Narrative. He said it, "will be a powerful catalyst to shape the contours of a more prosperous and inclusive future for humanity." Joining us to analyze this is Pat Wood (technocracy.news), President of Citizens for Free Speech and founder of Technocracy News. He looks not only at the Great Narrative, but also at the new globalist definition of biodiversity – one that includes mapping the genetic makeup of all species, including humans, on earth. He calls it scientific humanism. For the globalists, it's more shaping of the contours of humanity's future.

Karl Marx's ideology has influenced communism and the global elite's plans for nearly a century. How did we go from Marx to CRT? To answer that, we welcome back investigative journalist James Simpson (crisisnow.net). He discusses how Marxism has infiltrated the West, attempting to divide and subvert our culture. CRT and white privilege are just the modern day mechanisms they use to accomplish their plans. He shares some ideas on how to fight against these efforts. John then looks briefly at the Book of Revelation, today's globalist push, and whether we are in the End Times.

Wrapping up the show this week, we step back and look at the past year since the 2020 election and the attempts to determine if there was fraud. Joining us is Annalisa Pesek (thenewamerican.com), writer and editor at the New American Magazine. She examines the Maricopa County audit results and the push for election reform – against the wishes of some officials and mainstream media pundits. But some folks are waking up to the need for reform. As John says, if there's nothing to hide, why try so hard to hide nothing?

How has Karl Marx influenced the modern day far leftist progressive? To answer that, we welcome back investigative journalist and former economist with the White House Office of Management and Budget, James Simpson (crisisnow.net). The communism of Karl Marx infiltrated America and the West largely through the Frankfurt School, attempting to divide and subvert our culture. What we're seeing in 'white privilege' and critical race theory today are just the modern mechanisms to accomplish their plan. People are beginning to see what's happening but it seems like an uphill battle. Mr. Simpson shares some ideas on how to fight against it.

John finishes up today's podcast with a look at the Book of Revelation, the Four Horsemen, and today's globalist push. Are we indeed in the End Times? If so, what is our role as Christians?

In Mark 11, Jesus asked the Pharisees to decide if the baptism of John was from heaven or from men. Instead of making a decision, they sat on the fence and claimed ignorance. Artur Pawlowski (streetchurch.ca), Founder of Street Church Ministries in Alberta, Canada, spoke in our area recently and John caught up with him for an interview. Artur shows what the battle ahead will look like for Western civilization and what we must do to win. We must get off the fence and stand up to tyranny. We know what tyranny looks like from history so we should be able to recognize it now. Making that decision is scary, but with God on our side and an iron resolve, we can successfully make a stand and choose what side of the fence we want to be on.

If what is happening doesn't make sense, there must be another agenda afoot. And today, there are many things that don't make sense. Back with us this week is John Guandolo (understandingthethreat.com), Founder of Understanding the Threat. He maintains that many of these illogical events – like the disastrous pullout from Afghanistan – are intentional. Change agents come to town trying to distract you from the truth of what's happening but people are beginning to see through the charade and wake up. He shows us what we can do.

Finally this week we welcome to the show Joseph Puder (frontpagemag.com), columnist at FrontPage Magazine. He examines America's reputation in the world after the pullout from Afghanistan. Our allies around the world don't trust us and our enemies are more emboldened. Does that mean attacks on U.S. soil are imminent?

John often says that if what is happening doesn't make sense, there's another agenda afoot. Well, there are a lot of things happening today that don't make sense. Joining us is John Guandolo (understandingthethreat.com), Founder of Understanding the Threat. He maintains that many of these crazy events, which defy logic – the unbelievably bad exit from Afghanistan or much of the messaging behind covid – is intentional. Change agents swoop in and try to distract the public from what's really going on but people are starting to see through that and wake up. He offers solutions on how to dig out from this.

Education was supposed to provide us with stellar learning, but unfortunately that is not happening. Is there any hope? Joining us today is Jacob Howland (city-journal.org), Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at the University of Tulsa. He draws on his many years of experience in higher learning to show how classical education has been slowly removed from curricula only to be replaced by slogans and inaccurate history. The culprits are more the educrats than teachers, but many teachers go along with it. So is there any hope? Now that the plan has been thoroughly exposed, some teachers and many parents are pushing back to reclaim what education was always supposed to be.

Despite constant promotion for and adoption of critical race theory policies, teachers unions are now publicly washing their hands of the theory. Any mention of CRT has been erased from the NEA website. Lindsey Curnutte (heritageaction.com), Press Secretary for Heritage Action for America, joins us today to talk about it and to promote Heritage's new e-book on how to combat critical race theory, which you can find at crtbook.com. Now that parents are waking up to the dangers of CRT, they need to stay awake and stay diligent.

Extended conversation this week as John and Carol sit down with father and son economic experts Donald and David McAlvany (mcalvanyica.com). The foursome team up to tackle a variety of topics, including current financial trends, burgeoning inflation, the upcoming economic reset, and the rapid onset of in-your-face socialism. They also take a look at the theological and philosophical side of things, as well as the importance of strategic thinking and long-term planning, and the need for little people to do big things each and every day.

We finish up this week with Tammi Rossman-Benjamin (amchainitiative.org), Co-Founder and Director of the AMCHA Initiative. She describes her efforts to combat a bill in California that would force critical race theory into high school curricula. She focuses on the toxic antisemitic nature of CRT and how it doesn’t attempt to eradicate racism and hate – it perpetuates them.

We're leading off the week with a two-guest episode. First up today is Tammi Rossman-Benjamin, Co-Founder and Director of the AMCHA Initiative (amchainitiative.org). She describes her efforts to combat a bill in California that would incorporate critical race theory into high school curricula. CRT has an element of antisemitism within it, perpetuating racism and hate rather than trying to fight it.

We then transfer to our second guest, Joe Collins (joecollinsforcongress.com), a Republican running for the U.S. House of Representatives in California's 43rd Congressional District (the one currently held by Maxine Waters). He looks at his district as it has been run by Ms. Waters, why he would be a much better fit in Congress, and why minorities always seem to vote for the very people that keep them down.
