midterm elections

The Supreme Court has ruled on a number of cases lately, including the Dobbs case that overruled Roe v. Wade, and most of these decisions have adhered to the Constitution. This has made the judicial activist crowd quite mad. John flies solo today taking a look at some of these cases, examining the history of judicial activism in the court and how narratives that weren't based in reality are losing water and the pendulum of truth is swinging the other way. How did it get so bad originally? Marxism in the schools and post-modernist thought in society today.

Roe v Wade was overturned on Friday and predictably the reaction from the pro-abortion crowd was to rant and rave and riot. Producer Steve flies solo today and examines a number of issues, including judicial activism then and now, the talking points from the Left after the ruling on Friday, violence over the weekend, and the trigger laws going into effect in some states now. He also looks at what the Left may do moving forward and why courts are a more attractive venue to push liberal agendas than legislatures.

Several GOP governors are uniting to fight the Biden administration's failed border security policies. Will it work or is it too little too late? First up this week is Mary Ann Mendoza (angelfamilies.org), Founder of Angel Families. The governors should have united years ago, she contends, because they have more power than they think. She and John discuss several border issues, including remittances, media misinformation, and how jobs and education have been negatively affected. Biden's woke policies are causing all kinds of chaos. As John often says, political correctness is killing us – literally in some cases.

In addition to PC policies literally killing people in the arena of immigration, it's also wreaking havoc in the healthcare system. A girl in Michigan who is in renal failure is being denied access to the transplant list because her parents have a religious objection to the covid vaccine. Joining us today is the girl's mother, Jenna Campau, along with an attorney familiar with the case, Brian Festa of We The Patriots USA (wethepatriotsusa.org). Jenna describes her experience with medical professionals and Brian details the impending court case they are bringing against the doctors. It's a race against time to save the life of a young girl caught in the middle of a politicized and socialized healthcare system.

Finally this week, we take a peek under the hood of Elon Musk's buyout of Twitter that seems to be causing quite the weeping and gnashing of teeth in liberal circles. With us to discuss is columnist and retired entrepreneur Bob Adelmann (thenewamerican.com). He looks at the runup to the Twitter purchase, how the board tried its poison pill strategy to no avail, and the always hyperbolic reactions from the left. Only time will tell if Mr. Musk sticks to his pledge to turn Twitter back to a free speech platform.

Mary Ann Mendoza: Bordering on Chaos

Broadcast Running Time: 25:55

Few people know how bad our southern border really is. Joining us today is Mary Ann Mendoza (angelfamilies.org), Founder of Angel Families. Her son was killed in 2014 by an illegal criminal who slammed into his car while drunk and high on meth. She and John discuss how the media and politicos are misleading the American people about what's going on at the border. Several GOP governors are uniting to fight the Biden administration's immigration policy, but she contends this should have happened years ago as the governors have more power than they think. She covers several border issues, including remittances and how jobs and education have been negatively affected.

After much speculation and days of nervous liberals weeping and gnashing their teeth, Twitter executives accepted Elon Musk's offer to purchase the online platform. Back with us today is retired entrepreneur Bob Adelmann (thenewamerican.com) to look at Elon Musk, the man, and the runup to his mega-purchase. He discusses the board's decisions once an initial offer was on the table and what happened from there, including the poison pill maneuver and the always hyperbolic reactions from the left. Will Musk stick to his assurances that Twitter will be a free speech platform? Only time will tell.

Covid seems to have vanished from the media, but is it really gone? Are the issues we worried about just 2 months ago still there? Back with us today is Dr. Jane Orient (aapsonline.org), Executive Director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons. Adverse reactions to the vaccines are still affecting people, many of them children. Statistics are still being manipulated to fit narratives. Off-label drugs are proven to work but prescriptions for them are still forbidden because 'we must all take the vaccine.' The science we're all supposed to believe in and the virus and the vaccines and their problems are all still there. Politicos and the media are ignoring them because the midterms are near, but the issues have not gone away.

Some media outlets are beginning to comment on the dysfunction and failures of the Biden administration. How will they extract themselves from the narratives they're anchored to, all the while not irking the far left progressives? Joining us today is Bruce Thornton (fresnostate.edu), Professor Emeritus of Classics and Humanities at Cal State Fresno. He examines why the media seems to be slowly turning on the Biden administration – and it has nothing to do with principles. They are slaves to ideology and a lot of it stems from the indoctrination in our education system, something Professor Thornton has had a front row seat to for years.

We close out 2021 with John as a guest on KYMS radio with Lee Lancaster. John and Lee look at the miraculous escape by Christians who were kidnapped in Haiti as well as uplifting news of a persecuted man in China. But there are also some pretty grisly accounts of Christian persecution around the world and John shares a couple of those. He also dives into some predictions for 2022, including the impact of the midterm elections. Happy New Year everyone! We're off tomorrow – see you in 2022!

Christmas without a Christ, salvation without a savior, and redemption without repentance. Those things are not possible but that doesn't stop many people today from wanting them. John opens our Christmas show taking a look at the two things we are guaranteed to encounter in our lives: reality and God. Those aforementioned people are looking for solid rock truth, but in Marxism, which only traffics in false narratives and disingenuous "truth" claims. Christ, the reason for Christmas, is at odds with Marxism. One of them is true while the other is false. We all know which one wins that battle.

So why do young people so often look for truth in Marxism and socialism? Has it always been that way or is it specific to today's youth? Our first guest this week is Brandon Smith (alt-market.us), Founder of the Alternative Market Project. He posits that young people have grown up with little strife but the real world is, in their minds, too cruel when they grow up and encounter it. They turn then to socialism as a replacement parent. He discusses how different generations have handled this and what we can do moving forward.

Finally this week, we break out the crystal ball for some speculation and analysis of the future. There is much rumbling in Washington DC and around the country about the future of Kamala Harris in the White House. What will become of her? Back with us to gaze into that crystal ball is writer and retired entrepreneur Bob Adelmann (thenewamerican.com). He gives his theories on the Vice President, but also looks at geopolitics, economics, and mandates as we deal with a weak leadership in America.
