The Securities and Exchange Commission recently proposed a rule that would force public companies to disclose climate risks involved in their operation. Joining us today to go over this is author and scholar John Horvat II (returntoorder.org). This rule and others like it don't make sense economically, so they must be motivated by ideology. Regardless of the source, the perception is that America is weak and working against itself. In regards to this rule, oil companies will face harassment and declined production because the Biden administration has declared war on American energy at a time when we need it the most.

Politicos have mismanaged our economy for years leading us to the paradigm shift we're experiencing today. Now they're trying to offload responsibility but also use this mess to continue their agenda. John opens the program this week continuing his analysis of how we got here. He reviews what President Trump did to repair our economy and how President Biden has undone all of that. The world runs on oil, but there are forces – namely the climate alarmists – that have always advocated for getting us off of oil by taxing it, thereby hurting the poor and middle class. They and the politicos have slowly enacted their plans over the years, leading us to where we are today.

People are beginning to awaken from their slumber when it comes to these plans. The emperor is quickly disrobing and all the cards are now on the table. Joining us today is Christopher Bedford (rightforge.com), Chief Communications Officer at RightForge. Globalists are using our current crises to accelerate their Great Reset plans, but as they do, average everyday folks are waking up. Issues and relationships once thought unimportant are suddenly found to be vital. There's a battle brewing between the resetters and the reformers as we race into an unknown future.

There has been a new set of sanctions against the Russian government for their role in Ukraine. But could there be unforeseen consequences to these new sanctions? With us to discuss is Tho Bishop (mises.org), Assistant Editor of the Mises Wire at the Mises Institute. He shows how politicians are largely ignorant about economics, putting politics over sound policy. He also looks at the very real possibility that the sanctions process being used against Putin right now may soon be used against ‘domestic terrorists' in America.

We finish this week's program with an incredible update from our correspondent in Ukraine, Reuben Johnson. We had feared the worst after not hearing from him for weeks, but he's back and he tells us what he experienced trying to leave Ukraine and how the Russian soldiers feel about the war they're fighting.

Last week John gave a history as to how we arrived at our current state in the economy and with the dollar. Today, John continues that historical account, reviewing what President Trump did to repair our economy and how President Biden has undone all of that, causing us to be dependent on autocracies for oil and giving Russia economic advantages that the world would rather it not have. John points out the world runs on oil, but there are forces – namely the climate alarmists – that have always advocated for getting us off of oil by taxing it, thereby eroding our economy, hurting the poor and middle class, and lining their own pockets. They've slowly enacted their plan over the years, leading us to where we are today.

From the multi-faceted destructive plans of the globalists to the similar, more local tactics of change agents, the fundamental transformation of society rolls on. But when the West projects weak leadership and flawed thinking, the transformation rolls a little faster. First up this week is retired U.S. Navy Captain James Fanell (gcsp.ch), who looks at the disconnect in the Western press between what's happening in Ukraine and the reality of why it's happening. Weakness in American government has given Vladmir Putin the green light to attack Ukraine. Captain Fanell also discusses how China is taking advantage of our weakness to fill Russia's new economic void.

The globalists' overall plan, called the Great Reset, involves transforming the economic landscape. Like with China's social credit score, this transformation will involve what is known as ESG scores for businesses. Here to examine ESG is Pat Wood (technocracy.news), Editor of Technocracy News and Executive Director of Citizens for Free Speech. He shows how companies are being forced to comply with sustainable development and climate change policies in order to survive. Companies are evaluated subjectively based on leftist narratives rather than objectively. Once ESG takes hold, it will affect not only the business marketplace, but also our ability to function within it.

Finally this week, we take a look at the growth of multi-state regional government-like groups who push their destructive change agent policies. Joining us is Kathleen Marquardt (americanpolicy.org), Vice President and Director of the American Policy Center. In her area in Tennessee, one of these groups has popped up and she describes what the group is doing and her efforts to stop them. These quasi-governmental and public entities are actually public-private partnerships designed to seize private property by end-running the Constitution.

In regards to the horrific events in Ukraine, you get the impression in reading the American press, that there's a disconnect between what is happening and the reality of why it is happening. To connect the two, we welcome, from his home in Switzerland, retired U.S. Navy Captain James Fanell (gcsp.ch). After retirement, he served as Director of Intelligence for the U.S. Pacific Fleet. He examines the weakness of our current administration and how projecting that weakness shines a bright green light for someone like Putin to do what he's doing. Captain Fanell also looks at America's and Europe's exclusion of all things Russia and how China is stepping in to fill Russia's economic void.

Putting the Whole Puzzle Together

John often tackles the question: how did we get to where we are today? That's an important question, but so is: where are we heading? To lead off the show this week, John combines the two questions, looking at all the puzzle pieces affecting us today. He tackles the situation with Russia and Ukraine as well as inflation, oil prices, climate change, the push to discontinue fossil fuels, and the state of U.S. currency as it relates to the world. He shows how we got to where we are today and where we could end up tomorrow.

To better understand the bigger picture, today's millennials and gen-zees need to shed the progressive ideology they're taught in schools and adopt a facts over feelings approach to thinking. Joining us today is Jason Hill (jasondamianhill.com), Professor of Philosophy at DePaul University in Chicago. He discusses politics, education, and culture and gives us hope in the face of the discouragement we see every day. He relates his experience with students and how many of them are beginning to wake up to the fact that something is wrong and maybe the truth really is more important than feelings.

John finishes up recapping the current situation we find ourselves in, once again putting the puzzle pieces together with the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the global economy, and the always pervasive climate change narrative. We are flying into a perfect storm; a storm caused by decades of insane policies. But God is our anchor and our hope and we should always pray for His guidance in our lives.

The signs pointing to where we are now have been out there for quite a while, but now that we're seeing severe worldwide issues, it's important to piece everything together. John flies solo today, analyzing a number of geopolitical chess pieces to produce an understandable picture. He looks at the situation with Russia and Ukraine as well as inflation, oil prices, climate change, the push to discontinue fossil fuels, and the state of U.S. currency as it relates to the world. All of these things are interrelated and shows us not only how we got to where we are, but also gives a clear picture of where we're heading..

Battlefronts

There are multiple battlefronts happening in the world today, both in the physical sense and ideologically. We open today's show looking at a physical battlefront, with John tackling the latest on the Ukraine-Russia conflict. He incorporates a lot of principles covered on Steel on Steel over the last few decades into what we're seeing today, including how reality becomes real, the value of international guarantees is not high, and never elect someone to get you out of situation who got you into it in the first place. There are many lessons to be learned watching the physical battlefront in Ukraine, but that can also be applied to the ideological field.

And, like fighting in the physical world, with ideological enemies, it's important to understand both how your enemy thinks and how best to arm yourself on the battlefront of ideas. Joining the show this week is freelance writer Selwyn Duke (selywnduke.com), who looks at the nature of morality and where both ideological sides are coming from. Each side says their morality is best, so you have to anchor yourself in the truth in order to move forward intelligently. And as far as battle plans are concerned, adopting the Left's Alinsky tactics may just work in our favor.

Finishing off the program this week, John gives his thoughts on a variety of topics, including education reform, competing narratives, the need for nuanced information instead of package deals, and how insane it is that leftists consider hiring someone based on skin color rather than qualifications.

There are many learning opportunities to be gained from Russia's assault on Ukraine and from other political situations in the world today.  John flies solo today, looking at many principles we've discussed on the show over the years that are playing out now.  Reality becomes real, but not before utopians cause the loss of life and property.  The value of international guarantees is not too high.  Never choose someone to get you out of a situation when they were the one that got you into it.  An armed populace is a prepared populous.  There are many more Steel-isms included today.  A concerted effort is being waged to erode everything associated with Western civilization, including sovereignty, so beware the globalists who wish to bring it about.
