There are many reasons we are so divided in this country. One reason stems from the lack of honest teaching of today's children. Leading off the program this week is Wesley Smith (discovery.org), Chair and Senior Fellow at the Discovery Institute's Center on Human Exceptionalism. He looks at why we have such a hard time talking to people with opposing ideologies. It involves two sides coming at an issue with two different mindsets and two different groups of word definitions. But fundamentally each side has a different moral frame of reference that renders debate virtually impossible. Only when we recognize that the paradigm has changed will be able to try and bridge the divide.

Switching now to geopolitics, there is a lot going on in the world today that the media simply doesn't cover. Joining us this week is Ukraine-based defense expert Reuben Johnson. He discusses the geopolitics surrounding the Cuba protests, Iran's attempts to kidnap American citizens, Ukraine-Russia relations, and the latest on what China is up to. He also laments the downfall of journalism, specifically at the Washington Post.

Finally this week, John and Producer Steve sit down to tackle two interesting topics. First, the White House has now admitted to colluding with social media companies to flag what they deem to be misinformation about vaccines. And second, they explore the possible outcomes of the state election audits, including the questionable chances of President Trump retaking the White House should the audits prove he won and the media's near screeching coverage of what they call the "fraudits." If the election was legit, why are they so upset?

There are two ideological sides in our divided country. But these two sides are coming at any issue from two very different foundations. Back with us today is Wesley Smith (discovery.org), Chair and Senior Fellow at the Discovery Institute's Center on Human Exceptionalism. He examines the differences in debating today, including how each side has a different lexicon - different meanings for the same words – and a different mindset. Fundamentally, there is a different moral frame of reference which makes trying to discuss or debate any issue virtually impossible. There are those on either side who are still operating under the old paradigm, refusing to accept that the debate arena will never be what it once was.

Critical race theory and the 1619 Project have set up shop in America's schools, but more and more parents are starting to realize that their children are being fed a steady diet of hate and incorrect history. April Few (uspie.org), Communications Director at U.S. Parents Involved in Education (U.S. PIE), describes how her organization has been involved in the fight against critical race theory and offers some solutions for parents who are facing this in their child's school. Critical race theory teaches children to hate our country and to hate each other. And April correctly identifies the ultimate goal behind CRT.

In 1994, John produced a program on KWGN in Denver that featured a round table of guests discussing the truth about outcome-based education. What was said then, we are seeing today, so we will play a lot from that program on this week's show. John moderated and the featured guests were Charlotte Iserbyt, Dwight Williams, Berit Kjos, and Gen Yvette Sutton.

Topics discussed include the processes put into place allowing outcome-based education to begin, the work of change agents to convince the public that this radical transformation was a good idea, and getting children to transition from logical reasoning to emotional reasoning.

The guests go on to examine how teachers and administrators changed the way students thought and how they approached problem-solving, and how standardized tests have changed over the years to reflect this radical transformation of America's education system.

"If you took standardized testing from 1960 and asked a student today to pass that test, they wouldn't be able to do it. And the student from 1960 couldn't pass today's test because they couldn't think in politically correct terms. It's difficult to compare apples to oranges to see how far we have fallen."
