politically correct narratives

So, the Biden administration just announced that they are discontinuing the Disinformation Governance Board. We recorded today's interview right before that announcement. The topics today, however, are still very much relevant. Back with us after a long hiatus is writer and scientist Dr. Matt Briggs (wmbriggs.com). He discusses the obvious faults with a disinformation board, as well as similar problems with the new Office of Environment Justice and its counterpart in the Securities and Exchange Commission. Government, in establishing what disinformation is supposed to be, is also establishing what truth is supposed to be.

Ezra Levant, head of Canadian conservative news outlet Rebel News, has reported that the Trudeau administration may soon require journalists in Canada to obtain a license if they want to keep doing business. Back with us to report on this is freelance writer and software engineer Michael Tennant (thenewamerican.com). It's not yet illegal to report on stories without a license in Canada, but you don't receive subsidies and/or preferential treatment unless you have one. And with the government issuing these licenses, it's pretty clear which journalists will end up receiving them. Producer Steve finishes things out today playing some clips from Ezra Levant himself describing his experience.

Narratives have flown freely ever since January 6, 2021, and it's tough at times to get the real story, especially from the leftist mainstream media. One man has written a fact-filled article detailing the day's events. Back with us today after a long hiatus is the author of that article, Bill Jasper (thenewamerican.com), Senior Editor at The New American magazine. He and John discuss the use of the word ‘insurrection' to describe the event, the lack of firearms by the protestors, the motives for the continuous leftist narrative, the so-called “bi-partisan” J6 committee, and the insertion of agents provocateurs on that day. It's all J6 all the time on today's podcast.

It's difficult to fight against any enemy – whether it be a vast army or hordes of ideological Marxists slowly eroding the foundation of your country – if you don't know who you are as a society. America has lost what it means to be American. Opening up this week, we are joined by author and cryptography expert Paul Rosenberg (freemansperspective.com). He points out that America has lost its metanarrative. We used to build things, care about things. But today, our proud heritage of innovation and freedom has fallen victim to a Marxist enemy intent on destroying us. Can we fight back? Only if we remember who we are.

One way Marxists have eroded our national identity is by long marching through the institution of education. Parents must take back their children's education with a long march of their own. We welcome Joe Murray (joemurrayenterprises.com), attorney, teacher, and founder of Joe Murray Enterprises to the show. He discusses ways public education should change to allow students to think for themselves instead of being indoctrinated. There are realistic steps parents can take right now to start marching in the other direction.

John finishes out the show this week looking at the different stages of totalitarianism, using the Canadian government's tactics against the Freedom Convoy trucker protest as an example.

What does it mean to be an American? What is the DNA of the United States? Joining us today to answer these questions and more is author and cryptography expert Paul Rosenberg (freemansperspective.com). He points out that America has lost its metanarrative. We used to build things, care about things – in essence, we had a unified, proud metanarrative. But then something changed and now our children are taught to hate their own country, to tear things down rather than build them up. Historically, people have come here to invent things, to create lives for themselves, and to realize their potential. That whole culture of belief has slowly eroded into what we're seeing today. The question is: can we get it back?

Archbishop Desmond Tutu passed away recently from cancer at the age of 90. The media's reports of his legacy have been mostly positive. But was he the hero everyone thinks? Back with us today for part 1 of a 2-part interview is Peter Hammond (frontlinemissionsa.org), Founder and Director of Frontline Fellowship in South Africa. He had a front row seat in Cape Town for most of Tutu's public life and he reports on things the media won't touch, including actions by the Archbishop that didn't line up with the position he held.

Language is essential in every culture but the misuse of language has become legion in the media and has at times crossed over to being dangerous. Joining us today is Anne-Christine Hoff (jarvis.edu), Lead Professor of English, Speech, and Spanish at Jarvis Christian College. She looks at how ridiculous language has become and how its misuse deceives people and furthers agendas. Was there an insurrection? No, the ‘insurrectionists' had no weapons. Is it genocide to question a narrative? No, it's just a difference of opinion. It turns out that if you're going to fundamentally transform society, you need to manipulate language to fit your agenda and absolutely allow no criticism in the process.

We have media manipulating narratives, government officials implementing policies based not on science but on political motives, and we have truth being ignored across the board. John flies solo today and ties all of these things together, looking at how we arrived at this moment in time. Academia is pushing the oppressor versus oppressed narrative and it shows in virtually every story media puts out. John covers several reports that showcase how the truth gets twisted and narrative is king.

John and Producer Steve take over the studio for today's podcast, looking at inconsistencies in leftist "logic" and media narratives. Steve is having none of it, quietly ranting while John calmly explains what we're seeing and hearing out there. They cover vaccines and the mandates that are requiring them, Kyle Rittenhouse's guilt or innocence – depending on what side you're on, the failure of defunding the police, and the nature of definitions, especially when it comes to racism.

We kick off October with an in-studio conversation between John and Producer Steve.  They cover a variety of topics, including the possible emergence of a parallel society away from woke indoctrination and policies, the inconsistencies in the vaccine narrative, energy troubles in Europe, and a new challenge to Roe v Wade.  They also discuss threats to traditionalism, how freedom is at the heart of what this country stands for, and the stark difference between political narratives and reality.
