Social Justice in the Church

John opens the show this week with a brief comment on how our Constitution is working exactly as it was meant to work. And in doing so, it is stymieing the plans of the Left, which is why you see the constant attacks on the Constitution.

We then transition to our first topic: abortion. Abortion is in the spotlight due to the recent Dobbs decision, but how is the Church dealing with it? We welcome Dr. David J. Ayers (faithandfreedom.com), Fellow for Marriage and Family at the Institute for Faith and Freedom. He looks at how the church has taught about abortion historically and how they deal with women who suffer from the aftereffects of it. He relays his own experiences in how the Church has handled the issue of abortion.

When we discuss the topic of totalitarianism, both in the past and happening now, it's important to take a step back and study what exactly totalitarianism is. Helping us do that this week is literature and history teacher Walker Larson (thehazelnut.substack.com). He describes the different stages of totalitarianism, based on what we've seen in history, and shows some pretty shocking similarities to society today. If you want to understand how raging at the Constitution can lead to tyranny, this is the interview to listen to.

Finally, we look at a blatant power grab on the globalist stage. The World Health Organization has been horrible when it comes to accurate medical information, but they are maneuvering for more power. Rounding out the show this week is Alex Newman (thenewamerican.com), CEO of Liberty Sentinel Media and Senior Editor at The New American magazine. He describes how the United Nations is attempting to give the WHO powers to declare pandemic emergencies in any country regardless of whether that country gives consent or not.

The topic of abortion has been thrust back into the spotlight after the recent Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade. But the topic of abortion in the Church has always been a difficult one. Joining us today to chat about it is Dr. David J. Ayers (faithandfreedom.com), Fellow for Marriage and Family at the Institute for Faith and Freedom. He and John tackle the question of how the church should teach about abortion. More women than you think in the church have had an abortion and most of them are afraid to mention it. Dr. Ayers relays his experience compassionately discussing the issue in the classroom and at church.

Today, more and more religious groups – many evangelical – are joining the bandwagon of anti-Zionism.  Why is that?  Back with us today is Dexter Van Zile (camera.org), Christian Media Analyst at CAMERA, the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting and Analysis.  He discusses what historically has happened when society tries to replace God and/or attempts to establish a utopia – Jews get hurt and eventually so does humanity.  The Marxist takeover in the West right now is doing just that.  And it may explain how religious groups have allowed social justice – and by extension anti-Zionism – to gain a foothold.

The new totalitarianism springing up in the West will praise socialism as a way to infiltrate the church. How then will the church be affected and how should it fight back? Joining us today is Dr. Erwin Lutzer (moodymedia.org), Pastor Emeritus of Moody Bible Church, who debunks the myth that socialism and the Bible are compatible. The church is facing many assaults, including edicts which will infringe on religious freedom as well as cultural pressure that will cause Christians to self-censor their beliefs. Leftists will offer socialistic hope and reconciliation but it will never work and has never worked. Christianity offers true hope and reconciliation and that must be what we lovingly preach moving forward.

In this week's boralogue, John tackles two very important topics. First up, there is a battle of worldviews happening in Western civilization because society has drifted away from its founding ideals. Reform, then, must occur, but the fight against entrenched swamp critters will be long and it will be tough. Second topic: this weekend marks the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church, and John relates stories of several persecuted Christians to pray for.

What is the difference between impeachment inquiries in the Watergate era and those occurring now? John O'Connor (www.joclaw.com), Attorney and Owner of O'Connor and Associates, joins us to discuss the contrast between 1973 and 2019 regarding impeachment and how the current media are purposefully lying to further a narrative. He also covers how intelligence agencies and Hillary Clinton's campaign spied on candidate Trump in 2016.

There's a knock at the Church's door and it's socialism that is busting in. Steven Grant (www.godsdestiny.com), Senior Pastor of Destiny Christian Center in Colorado, examines the invading secular worldview that is slowly but definitely usurping the Gospel in the Church, and asserts that church leaders need to be prepared to stand in the faith before it's too late.

A western Canadian professor was recently fired for going against the climate change narrative and claiming – through documented research – that polar bears are thriving. Dr. Bonner Cohen (www.cfact.org), Senior Policy Analyst with the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow (CFACT), joins us to show how climate alarmists are stifling the speech of those who don't tow the green line.

John's quote of the week:
"In reform, we have two problems: getting back to our foundations, and fighting off those swamp critters that not only don't want to see us go back to our foundations, but also want to see the whole thing destroyed. We have to keep bearing witness to the truth because truth is our ally in this entire worldview battle."

In this week's Extras segment, Producer Steve takes over and plays an excerpt from an early October episode of his podcast, War on Stupid. Steve enumerates an exhaustive and entertaining laundry list of controversies against President Trump from Inauguration Day to the Ukraine phone call. Steve covers why this keeps happening and why, after all the so-called wrongdoings, impeachment is happening now.
