It's time for a sobering look at America's defenses in the face of our enemy's actions. Back with us today is David Pyne (emptaskforce.us), Deputy Director of National Operations for the EMP Task Force on National and Homeland Security. Since the Cold War, the U.S. has not kept up with Russia and China as far as nuclear capabilities and EMP weapons. We have also not hardened our grid against a possible EMP attack from an enemy, despite multiple efforts to go through official channels. We also look at how the military isn't focused on defensive issues should there be attacks by other countries. The people in charge should be laser-focused on keeping us safe, but that doesn't seem to be happening.
In Mark 11, Jesus asked the Pharisees to decide if the baptism of John was from heaven or from men. Instead of making a decision, they sat on the fence and claimed ignorance. Artur Pawlowski (streetchurch.ca), Founder of Street Church Ministries in Alberta, Canada, spoke in our area recently and John caught up with him for an interview. Artur shows what the battle ahead will look like for Western civilization and what we must do to win. We must get off the fence and stand up to tyranny. We know what tyranny looks like from history so we should be able to recognize it now. Making that decision is scary, but with God on our side and an iron resolve, we can successfully make a stand and choose what side of the fence we want to be on.
If what is happening doesn't make sense, there must be another agenda afoot. And today, there are many things that don't make sense. Back with us this week is John Guandolo (understandingthethreat.com), Founder of Understanding the Threat. He maintains that many of these illogical events – like the disastrous pullout from Afghanistan – are intentional. Change agents come to town trying to distract you from the truth of what's happening but people are beginning to see through the charade and wake up. He shows us what we can do.
Finally this week we welcome to the show Joseph Puder (frontpagemag.com), columnist at FrontPage Magazine. He examines America's reputation in the world after the pullout from Afghanistan. Our allies around the world don't trust us and our enemies are more emboldened. Does that mean attacks on U.S. soil are imminent?
We have two guests for you today. First up is Joseph Puder (frontpagemag.com), columnist at FrontPage Magazine. He looks at how the world, as well as the jihadists in the Middle East, view the U.S. after the disastrous Afghanistan pullout. Our enemies around the world are more emboldened and it could result in attacks on U.S. soil.
We then move to our second guest, Becky Dummermuth (firstliberty.org), counsel at First Liberty Institute. She relates the story of two flight attendants who were fired for giving their opinions about their employer – opinions the employer asked for! The company says the opinions were discriminatory; the flight attendants say the company violated their First Amendment and religious freedom rights.
We started the week out with Ukraine-based defense expert Reuben Johnson and he's back with us today to finish out the week and to look at a number of issues, including the consequences of America's behavior in the disastrous pullout from Afghanistan. Confidence in the U.S. among NATO nations, as well as Ukraine, is plummeting – should a neighbor country act aggressively, it's no longer certain that the U.S. would intervene to help out. He also covers Russia's and China's potential future geopolitical plans, the pandemic moving forward, and even a little on the California governor recall election.
Eliminating cash and transitioning to an all-digital currency may make some people nervous, especially if the digital currency is backed by the government. Leading off the show this week is silver expert David Morgan (themorganreport.com), author of the Morgan Report. He and John look at the possibility that the U.S. government could shift to digital currency, giving them control over all transactions. Bitcoin, the current leader in digital money, will either face off against the establishment or be co-opted by it. David also predicts what could happen with inflation and our massive debt.
We then move in-house with a conversation between John and Producer Steve. They examine the media's lack of journalism in parroting the administration's wavering virus messaging as well as using conflicting scientific papers in the virus and vaccine battle. They also discuss the tendency for the truth to win out in the end, how mandates violate freedom, and even some unprofessional undercover activity on the part of federal law enforcement.
Finally, we welcome to the show Mike Berry (firstliberty.org), General Counsel for First Liberty Institute and member of the U.S. Marine Corps. It is getting harder for members of the armed forces to honor the military oath. It says you are to support and defend the Constitution, but it also says you are to obey the orders of the President and superior officers. With woke leadership demonizing conservative military members for their beliefs, eventually our enemies will defeat us without firing a shot.
We can definitely learn from history, but sometimes there are little known stories that help shine a light on what's happening today. Back with us is Davis Pyne (emptaskforce.us), Utah Director of the EMP Taskforce on National and Homeland Security. He looks at the death of a long-incarcerated member of the Nazi party along with the machinations of Churchill, Hitler, and Stalin during WWII, and a plot to overthrow Churchill. From there, he shows how we got to where we are today, including the deal with the Soviets against Hitler, a partnership between Russia and China today against the U.S., and America's current military and defense readiness.
The first part of the military oath, to support and defend the Constitution, is fairly straightforward. But the second part – to obey the orders of the President and superior officers – is beginning to interfere with the first part. Joining us today is Mike Berry (firstliberty.org), General Counsel for First Liberty Institute and member of the U.S. Marine Corps. He draws on his experience in the military to show the woke policies being put in place, including snitch lines. Also, if military personnel hold certain beliefs, they are now being labeled as extremist and anti-civil rights – beliefs such pro-life, traditional marriage, etc. If we continue down this line, our military enemies may not have to fire a shot to defeat us.
The Chinese Communist Party and its leader, Xi Jinping, have told us what their geopolitical and military plans are. Is anyone in our country listening? First up this week is Seth Cropsey (hudson.org), Director of the Center for American Seapower at the Hudson Institute. The Chinese navy is building ships at a rapid rate and mapping out strategy regarding Taiwan and the U.S. Our military, on the other hand, is worried about gender pronouns. There are weaknesses within China, if only we would recognize them and exploit them. Eventually reality becomes real. Will we face a knockout punch or will we wake up before that happens?
Is there any hope with America's education system? Indoctrination and incorrect narrative-driven history is running amok. Joining us this week is Jacob Howland (city-journal.org), Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at the University of Tulsa. He draws on his many years of experience in higher learning to show how educrats are removing classical education from the classrooms and replacing it with slogans and leftist ideologies. So is there any hope? Some teachers and many parents have now recognized what's going on and they're fighting back. Let's hope it's not too late.
One of the ways that parents are fighting back is at school board meetings. Why are they angry? Three words: critical race theory. Wrapping up the show this week is Julie Gunlock (iwf.org), Director of the Center for Progress and Innovation at the Independent Women's Forum. Many school boards blindly support critical race theory, but some board members have gone so far as to lash out at parents because they oppose CRT. Those same parents have now woken up and are pushing back – some by running to replace these board members.
There is a stark contrast between how the Chinese Communist Party is handling geopolitics and what the American public knows about it. Joining us today is Seth Cropsey (hudson.org), Director of the Center for American Seapower at the Hudson Institute. He discusses how China's leader, Xi Jinping, is laying out in detail his country's plans in regards to Taiwan, the U.S., and the world. No one in our military, though, seems to be listening. Our military is focusing on trivial things and the media is choosing to air segments meant to divide us further. China's path to world domination won't be easy, as has been indicated in speeches by Xi, but the U.S. turning a blind eye to reality will not hinder them. Eventually reality becomes real. Will we face a knockout punch or will we wake up before that happens?
There are many threats to the United States, but few are being examined thoroughly by those who could do something about them. Joining us today is David Pyne (emptaskforce.us), a Director with the EMP Task Force on National and Homeland Security. He and John discuss a variety of sobering topics including our missile defense system, how we would fare should China or Russia attack us, and why power companies strongly resist hardening the grid against a possible future EMP attack. When confronting a problem, it always helps to know the reality of the situation, otherwise you have virtually no shot at succeeding.
