A Little American History Truth

Broadcast Running Time: 01:19:17

Happy Independence weekend everyone! It's important to learn the truthful history of our country, but the prevailing leftist narrative today is that because some of our Founding Fathers were slave owners, any good that they accomplished is forgotten. First up on this holiday show is Bill Federer (americanminute.com), President of AmeriSearch, Inc. He gives an accurate account of the history of slavery in America: who held slaves, who initiated the abolitionist movement, and where the two political parties have stood on the issue throughout the years. The narrative is that the U.S. is irredeemable because of our history with slavery. What is often ignored is that we also got rid of it.

Much of the immigration debate today is centered around our southern border, but with the current administration's proposed policies, should the focus be elsewhere? We welcome back former U.S. immigration Senior Special Agent Michael Cutler (michaelcutler.net) to the program. He asserts that because thousands of people are entering our country and then are bused away from the border, the U.S. needs to beef up interior enforcement. A majority of the time, there are no interviews and no investigations done, which means random U.S. cities are seeing a sudden spike of new un-vetted residents.

Finally this week, we look at the intriguing possibility of a constitutional crisis should these election audits prove President Trump actually won the election. Rounding out the show is retired engineer John Green, who examines the Supreme Court's role in election integrity prior to and after November 3. Because they refused to hear a case that could have cleared up some questions right after the election, SCOTUS could soon be in the unenviable position of determining if President Biden is really the President. A constitutional crisis may be looming in the coming months.

With election audits finishing up in Arizona and more gearing up in other states, we could have an interesting situation on our hands – what if it's proven that President Trump actually won the 2020 election? Retired engineer John Green is back with us today to discuss the Supreme Court's role in all of this, including their failure to even hear a case before January 20th that could have settled a lot of questions. Because they punted on hearing that case, they could very well be in the future position of determining if President Biden is really the President. If President Trump were to be declared the true winner of the election, a gigantic constitutional crisis will be upon us with a lot of questions and potentially thousands of lawsuits in the offing.

It is a two-guest Wednesday here on Steel on Steel. First up is Trent England (saveourstates.com), Founder and Executive Director of Save Our States. He looks at the attempted federalization of the election system by end running the electoral college via the National Popular Vote. He also discusses HR1 and SB1, Congress's attempt to change election laws so that states have less power and the chaos we saw last year would become the norm.

We then transition to James Bovard (jimbovard.com), author and Member of the USA Today Board of Contributors. He examines what it looks like when the federal government actually is in charge of something – namely the IRS. He comments that the IRS has been given vast discretion and with that comes vast abuse. Are we headed toward more abuses like we've seen in previous administrations?

Under the Obama administration, we witnessed foreign policy that mostly did not work. Under President Trump, we saw a new and innovative way to approach foreign policy. But now we're back to the policies that have proven to be ineffective. First up this week is Gregg Roman (meforum.org), Director at the Middle East Forum, who looks at the Biden philosophy of hegemonic equilibrium – putting allies and foes on equal footing in a region – and how it has forced our allies to rely less on the U.S. He also points out how we are focusing on unimportant things while our geopolitical enemies are gaining strength.

Next, we have an important announcement for non-public schools. Brian Kelsey (libertyjusticecenter.org), Senior Attorney with the Liberty Justice Center, is with us to alert all private schools that there is money available for Covid relief – if you know where to look and ask for it. If you don't, it reverts back to the public schools.

One of the most important issues in this country is election reform. It is badly needed or dysfunction and fraud will continue to run rampant in our elections. We welcome to the program Michael O'Neill (landmarklegal.org), Assistant General Counsel for Landmark Legal Foundation. He reviews a case from Arizona involving people voting in precincts they don't live in as well as ballot harvesting, both backed by the DNC. The case is now at the Supreme Court and if this isn't overturned, it could set a dangerous precedent moving forward.

Finally this week, we look at the debate over whether online platforms should be considered publishers or editors. Political writer and author Steven Hill (steven-hill.com) joins us to explain both sides of the issue, the effects of the Facebook law in Germany and Section 230 here, and a host of other topics like algorithms, psychographic profiles, manipulated searches, and surveillance capitalism.

Alongside freedom of speech as one of our most important issues in this country is that of election reform. It is badly needed or dysfunction and fraud will continue to run rampant in all future elections. Joining us today is Michael O'Neill (landmarklegal.org), Assistant General Counsel for Landmark Legal Foundation. He reviews a case from Arizona involving people voting in precincts they don't live in as well as ballot harvesting. The Ninth Circuit ruled in favor of the DNC, who wanted to keep those two practices, and it was appealed to the Supreme Court. If this isn't overturned, it could set a dangerous precedent and significantly hurt election reform. He also looks at HR1 which would take power away from states and essentially federalize elections. We should expect to see decisions on these issues in the coming months.

HR1 is a new bill in Congress that, if passed, will codify every suspect procedure involved in the 2020 election – vote by mail, no voter ID, no voter roll cleaning, etc. J. Christian Adams (www.publicinterestlegal.org), President of the Public Interest Legal Foundation, joins us briefly to discuss this new bill. Attempts are being made to make that which is illegal legal.

We then transition to Kurt Hyde (thenewamerican.com), contributor to The New American magazine, who offers possible solutions to HR1, moving back to the fairly secure and reasonable voting procedures of the past. Can we have election reform if HR1 passes?

Censorship is running rampant today, but the media, who should be upholding freedom of speech, are instead advocating for more censorship. John Tierney (city-journal.org), Contributor Editor to the City Journal, is with us to discuss the ramp up of censorship since the Capitol violence and the hypocrisy of the media who did nothing when leftists called for violence during the Trump administration. When freedom is ignored, totalitarianism isn't too far behind.

Finally this week, Palestinian leaders are blaming Israel for not providing them with Covid vaccines, even though they had already procured some elsewhere. Back with us is Dexter Van Zile (www.camera.org), Christian Media Analyst with the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting and Analysis. He points to a bigger picture than just a vaccine controversy – statehood for Palestine and isolation for Israel.

This election has brought forth a paradigm shift and like it or not, no matter which administration occupies the White House come January, things will be decidedly different. So we assembled the knights of the Steel round table – namely John, Carol, and Producer Steve – to talk about it. They cover a potential Biden presidency – and who would actually be running things, how the media are colluding with the democrats, and how the one-worlder crowd is attempting to reassert their plans now that they think President Trump is on his way out. There is definitely a paradigm shift occurring. The best plan forward is to adjust to the new reality instead of clinging to the old.

In 2016, our guest today correctly picked every state in the presidential election, including Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.  So we invited back election forecast expert Gerard Lameiro (www.greatnewsforamerica.com) to join us and discuss his thoughts on how things will play out this November.  He covers why the polls are often wrong, whether because of biases, assumptions, or an effort to influence potential voters.  He also gives his prediction of the final electoral college tally between President Trump and Joe Biden this fall and asserts that this is the most important election since the election year of ….  Tune in to find out!
