The Moral Thing to Do

The First Amendment to our Constitution states in part that Congress shall not prohibit the free exercise of religion. One government committee is doing just that – in the name of morality. First up this week, John welcomes Andrew Beckwith (mafamily.org), President of the Massachusetts Family Institute. Vida Real, an Hispanic church in Massachusetts, has applied to open a Bible-based school. Even though they have met the requirements, the government panel in charge of approving such requests has denied them. One panel member thinks approval would not be the moral thing to do. For woke leftists, their ideology is a religion – one that always seems to be at odds with Christianity.

So in that case, a woke leftist appealed to morality, but how do people with no sense of morality get away with that? Next up this week, we talk with Rabbi Chananya Weissman (chananyaweissman.com), Founder of End the Madness in Jerusalem. He looks at the nature of morality as it has always been defined and shows how leftist woke religion is diametrically opposed to Judeo-Christian values. He also gives an update on the state of cancel culture and wokeism in Israel.

Finally this week, we transition to the topic of climate change with Dr. Judith Curry (judithcurry.com), President of the Climate Forecast Applications Network. If we're going to talk about climate change, the discussion must be sane and rational – not apocalyptic and ridiculous like so many claims today. Solutions must come from the local level, not a one-size fits all panacea from the globalists. Of course the reason why the conversation trends toward hysteria is so that the power, money, and control folks can enact their plans.

How many times have we heard that life as we know it will end in the next few years unless we fix the climate? Or carbon dioxide is killing us? We need rational debate not hysterics. Joining us today is climate expert Judith Curry (judithcurry.com), President of the Climate Forecast Applications Network. She posits that we need first to recognize that climate change is not an immediate threat. From there, we should get the facts straight and keep politics out of the discussion. Any solution should be discussed rationally at the local level, not a one-size fits all approach from the global level. We all know, however, why the powers that be are allowing the global climate hysteria narrative to move forward – power, money, and control.

Some media outlets are beginning to comment on the dysfunction and failures of the Biden administration. How will they extract themselves from the narratives they're anchored to, all the while not irking the far left progressives? Joining us today is Bruce Thornton (fresnostate.edu), Professor Emeritus of Classics and Humanities at Cal State Fresno. He examines why the media seems to be slowly turning on the Biden administration – and it has nothing to do with principles. They are slaves to ideology and a lot of it stems from the indoctrination in our education system, something Professor Thornton has had a front row seat to for years.

Woke Word Games

The media are masters at manipulating words, deflecting blame, and promoting one side of politics rather than reporting on facts. In short, the truth is sacrificed in favor of narrative. We kick off this week's show with John tying together several issues, including the media's twisted word games, government officials' useless policies, and academia's constant promotion of the oppressor versus oppressed narrative. The problem is that these woke word games have real world consequences and it's costing people their jobs and sometimes their lives. When we push back – and many are pushing back – the manipulators fight viciously to protect their lie.

Familiar narratives have emerged from the latest climate conference, only now there's a new more sinister directive included. Back with us this week is Alex Newman (thenewamerican.com), Senior Editor at The New American Magazine. He discusses how the globalists, who push this climate narrative, want energy prices to go up, the U.S. economy to crash, and manufacturing jobs to migrate to China. Their plan seems to be working as massive amounts of newly-printed money are chasing far fewer goods because of supply chain issues. Alex says it is an organized looting of our economy.

Finally this week, we revisit an old favorite on Steel on Steel: civil asset forfeiture. It has run amok for years but now some jurisdictions are beginning to take notice. Joining us is CJ Ciaramella (reason.com), Criminal Justice correspondent at Reason Magazine. He examines different tactics used during and after police seizures as well as new reform laws, and the loopholes to try and get around those laws. If ironclad reform that can withstand challenges isn't possible, then asset forfeiture should be eliminated.

The latest climate conference produced much of the same narrative we've heard for the last few decades.  Only this time, there was a new directive added to the mix.  Back with us today is Alex Newman (thenewamerican.com), Senior Editor at The New American Magazine.  The new directive was to raise energy prices, do everything to destroy the U.S. economy, and ship manufacturing jobs to China.  A huge amount of money is being printed and it's now chasing a lot less goods because of supply chain shortages.  It is, as Alex says, an organized looting of our economy – and the writing has been on the wall for years.

Christmas without a Christ, salvation without a savior, and redemption without repentance. Those things are not possible but that doesn't stop many people today from wanting them. John opens our Christmas show taking a look at the two things we are guaranteed to encounter in our lives: reality and God. Those aforementioned people are looking for solid rock truth, but in Marxism, which only traffics in false narratives and disingenuous "truth" claims. Christ, the reason for Christmas, is at odds with Marxism. One of them is true while the other is false. We all know which one wins that battle.

So why do young people so often look for truth in Marxism and socialism? Has it always been that way or is it specific to today's youth? Our first guest this week is Brandon Smith (alt-market.us), Founder of the Alternative Market Project. He posits that young people have grown up with little strife but the real world is, in their minds, too cruel when they grow up and encounter it. They turn then to socialism as a replacement parent. He discusses how different generations have handled this and what we can do moving forward.

Finally this week, we break out the crystal ball for some speculation and analysis of the future. There is much rumbling in Washington DC and around the country about the future of Kamala Harris in the White House. What will become of her? Back with us to gaze into that crystal ball is writer and retired entrepreneur Bob Adelmann (thenewamerican.com). He gives his theories on the Vice President, but also looks at geopolitics, economics, and mandates as we deal with a weak leadership in America.

Why do young people seem to fall in line with socialism so easily? Is it generational or is it specific to today's youth? Here today to answer these questions is Brandon Smith (alt-market.us), Founder of the Alternative Market Project. He looks at how young people have had it rather easy lately growing up but when they hit the real world, they become disillusioned with it and try to find the easiness they're used to. Socialism fills that parental hole in their lives. Brandon discusses the different generations and their response to and responsibility for inflation and other things. It's a fascinating conversation you don't want to miss.

Has America learned anything since the attacks on September 11, 2001? The globalists were at work 20 years ago. What are they up to today? We welcome back to the program Pat Wood (citizensforfreespeech.org), Founder and Executive Director of Citizens for Free Speech and Founder of Technocracy News. He looks at the sustainable development plans of the globalists, which are the same now as back then, only now they are armed with artificial intelligence and higher computing power. He also discusses biometrics, the Trilateral Commission, social engineering, and of course technocracy.

The globalists are also waging war on the economic front, using the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as their general. Back with us this week is Alex Newman (thenewamerican.com), Senior Editor at The New American magazine. He examines the IMF’s plan to issue ‘special drawing rights’ that will redistribute America’s wealth and replace the dollar as the world’s reserve currency. Does this sound surprising? It should since no one in the media is talking about it. Can we stop this high-tech theft or is it too late?

Finally this week we look at the concept of inequality and the leftists’ idealistic and unrealistic definition of it. Joining us to discuss this is James Rogers (lawliberty.org), Associate Professor of Political Science at Texas A&M University. Are the rich evil like the left says, or do they offer employment, fund charities that help the poor, and keep the economy humming? The core issue with the leftists’ inequality problem is that those shouting the loudest do the least amount of work to solve it.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is planning to issue 'special drawing rights' that will redistribute America's remaining wealth and replace the dollar as the world's reserve currency. What is this all about? Back with us today to explain is Alex Newman (thenewamerican.com), Senior Editor at The New American magazine. This is a heist, he tells us, and unfortunately no one in America knows about it because no one in the media is talking about it. Is it too late to do anything to stop it? If not, what then do we do?

James Rogers: Obsession About Inequality

Inequality is a buzzword around the woke campfire these days, but like most issues associated with wokedom, once you peel back the layers, the original argument falls apart.  Joining us today is James Rogers (lawliberty.org), Associate Professor of Political Science at Texas A&M University.  It's nice to shout that the poor aren't equal to the rich, but few people delve deeper to see that many rich people offer employment, fund charities that help the poor, and keep the economy chugging.  And the irony is, the same people who obsess the most about inequality and the poor are usually well-off individuals who never try and solve the problem.
