weaponized words

There are many reasons we are so divided in this country. One reason stems from the lack of honest teaching of today's children. Leading off the program this week is Wesley Smith (discovery.org), Chair and Senior Fellow at the Discovery Institute's Center on Human Exceptionalism. He looks at why we have such a hard time talking to people with opposing ideologies. It involves two sides coming at an issue with two different mindsets and two different groups of word definitions. But fundamentally each side has a different moral frame of reference that renders debate virtually impossible. Only when we recognize that the paradigm has changed will be able to try and bridge the divide.

Switching now to geopolitics, there is a lot going on in the world today that the media simply doesn't cover. Joining us this week is Ukraine-based defense expert Reuben Johnson. He discusses the geopolitics surrounding the Cuba protests, Iran's attempts to kidnap American citizens, Ukraine-Russia relations, and the latest on what China is up to. He also laments the downfall of journalism, specifically at the Washington Post.

Finally this week, John and Producer Steve sit down to tackle two interesting topics. First, the White House has now admitted to colluding with social media companies to flag what they deem to be misinformation about vaccines. And second, they explore the possible outcomes of the state election audits, including the questionable chances of President Trump retaking the White House should the audits prove he won and the media's near screeching coverage of what they call the "fraudits." If the election was legit, why are they so upset?

There are two ideological sides in our divided country. But these two sides are coming at any issue from two very different foundations. Back with us today is Wesley Smith (discovery.org), Chair and Senior Fellow at the Discovery Institute's Center on Human Exceptionalism. He examines the differences in debating today, including how each side has a different lexicon - different meanings for the same words – and a different mindset. Fundamentally, there is a different moral frame of reference which makes trying to discuss or debate any issue virtually impossible. There are those on either side who are still operating under the old paradigm, refusing to accept that the debate arena will never be what it once was.

Jam packed show this week. Whether we are entering the End Times or the Great Reset – or both – Christians need to be ready. First up this week is Jeff Kinley (jeffkinley.com), Founder of Main Things Ministries. He discusses the gradual reawakening of America's churches following months of lockdowns. Religious freedom has been threatened but some Christians are starting to fight back. Returning to meeting together and studying the Word will ground us in the Truth.

Liberation theology, social justice, and critical race theory have merged out of Marxism and have landed in Western schools. Next up this week is Steve Stotsky (camera.org), Senior Research Analyst at CAMERA. In order to combat moral-based Judeo-Christian education found throughout Western schools, educrat Marxists have pushed forward a distorted and narrative-driven curriculum. To push back, parents need to be more proactive, be more aware of what their children are learning, and not be afraid to make themselves heard.

The Founding Fathers created the Constitution with limited federal powers in mind. Eventually though, states' rights were usurped by a bigger, expanding government. Our last guest this week is Robert Curry (claremont.org), Member of the Board at the Claremont Institute. He takes a look at the plan to wrest control away from the states and into the federal government. This eventually eroded national sovereignty. That plan is almost complete … unless Americans learn the truth and put a stop to it.

John finishes up this week with a brief analysis of how media craft narratives. It's our job to recognize what they're doing and stand firm on the solid rock foundation of the truth.

The Founders created the Constitution with limited federal government powers in mind. By the time the 17th amendment rolled around, states' rights were being usurped by a bigger, expanding government. Back with us today is Robert Curry (claremont.org), Member of the Board at the Claremont Institute. He takes a look at the erosion of the power of states and the continued bloat of the federal government. It seems the ultimate plan was to wrest control away from the states into the federal government to eventually get rid of national sovereignty. And the finish line of that plan is in sight … unless Americans learn what's really going on and put a stop to it.

There are rules for thee, but not for me. Seems to be the woke battle cry today. In this week’s premium boralogue, John looks at the outrage against people and companies for thoughts and policies that were completely reasonable five minutes ago. Your words and deeds will be targeted, but eventually, even your silence will be labeled racism. John breaks down several logical fallacies wrapped up in progressive narratives. When words are weaponized in pursuit of those narratives, truth becomes a casualty.
