Worldview Collisions

All federal officials, except the President, swear to 'support the Constitution,' while the President swears to 'preserve, protect, and defend' it. So why do a large majority of those who ascend to these offices promptly ignore, and in some cases defy, the Constitution? First up this week, we welcome constitutional attorney Mark W. Smith (thefourboxesdiner.com) to the show. After the Supreme Court ruled that New York state can't ban conceal carry permits, state officials are labeling nearly every location a 'sensitive place' in regards to guns. So you can have a permit, you just can't carry anywhere. This is constitutional end running at its worst.

When politicians defy the Constitution, it's traditionally been up to the media to call them out. Our next guest, Dexter Van Zile (meforum.org), Managing Editor at the Middle East Forum, shows how the media are selectively reporting based on ideology. They ignore obvious facts staring them in the face, and twist a story to meet the worldview they've built in their heads. And if you dare challenge them, they will go to great lengths (read: censorship) to silence you.

One such ideological narrative pushed by the media and certain government officials has been the supremacy of covid vaccines. Wrapping up the program this week is Dr. Jane Orient (aapsonline.org), Executive Director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons. She examines the push to vaccinate teens and even toddlers, despite a statistically unlikely chance they will ever contract covid, let alone suffer from it. She also looks at the almost never discussed adverse reactions to the vaccines.

Why do we see such blatant misinformation in news reporting? The facts are readily available but news stories seem more about crafting a narrative than about straight-up journalism. Back with us today is Dexter Van Zile (meforum.org), Managing Editor at the Middle East Forum. He looks at how far journalists have gone from fact-based reporters to unashamed ideologues. Worldviews are built inside one's head and narratives, news stories, sound bites, etc. are manufactured around that. He discusses the lengths some will go (censorship) if you call them out on their disingenuous news.

There is major flippage happening on the postmodern left side of culture - especially on popular TV talk shows and news channels. John sheds light on some of the tactics that Leftist activists use regarding elections and the control of mainstream media and politically correct narratives. He goes on to narrate clips from TV where post-moderns make moral assertions they wind up in self-contradiction, especially when the discussion moves from issue to issue.

If you put your kids in secular, atheist, Marxist seminaries (aka public schools), don't be surprised when you get secular, atheist, Marxists out. What is the best alternative? First up this week, we welcome Chaplain E. Ray Moore (exodusmandate.org), Co-Founder of Frontline Ministries. He describes what his organization is doing to get children out of public education and into private, Christian schools. He reveals his opinions on vouchers, charter schools, and running for school boards. He also urges pastors to get off the sidelines and defend the truth and biblical education.

What would America's founding fathers say about the state of not only education, but our entire country today? Joining us is author Steven Rabb (thefoundersspeech.com), who just wrote a book describing how everything the founders warned us against is now happening. There is a constant end running of the Constitution by those in the swamp who strenuously fight against reform. This has resulted in the chaos we're now seeing. How do we stop it? Return to the founders' idea of what the United States should be.

Finally this week, we dive into the future of the world's economy. Will it be full of digital currency and the problems that come with it? Joining us to chat about that is Chris Brady (chrisbrady.com), Founder and CEO of Life Platform. He looks at the future of Bitcoin, the plans of the world's central banks and the inevitable rollout of debt to create digital currencies. He also examines the dangers of going with a digital currency, especially the tracking aspect and the programmability standards.

Referencing public schools, John has often said that if you put your kids in secular, atheist, Marxist seminaries, don't be surprised when you get secular, atheist, Marxists out. Joining us today is E. Ray Moore (exodusmandate.org), Co-Founder and Board President of Frontline Ministries. He describes what his organization is doing to get children out of public education and into private, Christian schools. He discusses the futility of running for school boards, the disadvantages of vouchers and charter schools, and the need for Christian schools to operate free from any government control – including funding. And pastors need to step up, defend the truth, and back biblical education.

Yesterday we brought you part 1 of our 2-part interview with Peter Hammond (frontlinemissionsa.org), Founder and Director of Frontline Fellowship in South Africa. He gave a sober evaluation, based on direct observation, of the life of Archbishop Desmond Tutu. On today's podcast, he continues with some personal interactions he had over the years with the Archbishop. He goes on to look at worldview wars, the importance of campaigning for the truth, and his optimism about the future.

It is said that those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it. But the lesson that history teaches is that most people don't know the lessons of history. Here this week to help us understand the mindset of progressives – a group that never seems to learn from history – is Pedro Blas Gonzalez (barry.edu), Professor of Philosophy at Barry University. He looks at why people and leaders in totalitarian societies have behaved the way they have throughout history. Understanding their motivation helps to explain the illogic and contradictions constantly bandied about by the Left today. And it helps clarify for us what the truth really is.

One lesson we can learn from history is from the people and movements surrounding the fall of Communism in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Spotlighting both Pope John Paul II and the Solidarity movement in Poland is Stephanie Slade (reaosn.com), Managing Editor at Reason Magazine. She examines how the people in Poland never gave up on freedom, even when the powers that be tried to take it from them. Eventually, they had had enough, decided they were no longer going to live that way, and together with Pope John Paul II and others, planted the seeds of destruction for Communism. It's a great history lesson for today.

John finishes up the show this week highlighting inconsistencies in history. When flip flopping narratives replace truth, the solid foundation you built your belief or your society on begins to be overshadowed by other, less important things. That's when historical truth is forgotten and mistakes that shouldn't be made are made all over again.

It hurts the brain sometimes to try and make sense of the constant contradictions of the progressive ideology. Joining us today to sort through a lot of it is Pedro Blas Gonzalez (barry.edu), Professor of Philosophy at Barry University near Miami, Florida. He dives into the progressive mindset and looks at the history of why people and leaders in totalitarian societies behave the way they do. It helps to explain the illogicity behind the contradictions we hear from the far left in today's society. It all boils down to power and the willingness to do anything and everything to get it and to keep it.

A Biden executive order on gender identity is putting Christian colleges in a predicament.  Joining us today for a Sunday extra podcast is Ryan Bangert (adflegal.org), Vice President for Legal Strategy at Alliance Defending Freedom.  The executive order would force colleges to admit a male who identifies as a female into a female dorm – something most Christian colleges would not allow.  Mr. Bangert discusses the details of the order, his client's (College of the Ozarks) case, and how regardless of the outcome, the process is the punishment.

Can we turn around the bad times we're experiencing today or is it too late?  Either way, what does that mean for our future and for the future of the Christian Church?  Joining us today is Mike LeMay, retired General Manager of Q90FM in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  He discusses how the few foundational blocks holding up Western society are beginning to wobble and once the first one collapses, the others won't be far behind.  A public-private partnership has been created that will usher in this collapse, all while claiming they have the answers.  How will churches fare?  There will be worldly churches and there will be underground churches.  We can fight the battles of this world, but keep your heart in the Lord.  Know that while the Bible says we will lose the earthly battle, we will ultimately win the eternal war.
